Award Winning Social Development Expert on Non Profit/Philanthropic Movement passionately driving positive change in Nigeria and Africa at large. A great listener, solution oriented and vibrant person.
In a challenging environment such as we are in today, Let us accept the challenge for a better human existence by lending support to the less opportune/privileged.. In a VUCA world, humanitarian concerns are heightened due to the increased vulnerability of populations affected by: 1. Volatility: - Sudden onset disasters (e.g., natural disasters, conflicts) - Rapid spread of diseases 2. Uncertainty: - Unpredictable political situations - Unclear humanitarian needs 3. Complexity: - Interconnected crises (e.g., climate change, displacement, poverty) - Multiple stakeholders with competing interests 4. Ambiguity: - Blurred lines between humanitarian and political agendas - Unclear roles and responsibilities Humanitarian concerns in a VUCA world include: 1. Increased displacement and migration 2. Growing needs for emergency response and relief 3. Heightened risk of conflict and violence 4. Exacerbated social and economic inequalities 5. Challenges in accessing affected populations 6. Need for adaptive and innovative response strategies 7. Importance of collaboration and coordination among stakeholders 8. Difficulty in measuring progress and impact In this context, humanitarian organizations and responders must be agile, flexible, and creative to address the evolving needs of affected populations. In conclusion, the hope of the downtrodden and less privileged in our society beckons on us for intervention. I pledge myself, life and passion to humanity. it will be One Day! One Touch!! 🌍 Reflecting on Our Resilient Journey: Strengthening Support for Sudan in 2024 🌍 As we stand on February 4, 2024, it's a time for reflection on the resilience and spirit of Sudan, tested by the challenges of the past year. The dire predictions made by Johns Hopkins University for 2023 have tragically unfolded, exposing the harsh realities of food insecurity and the collapse of essential services amidst ongoing conflicts. This has led to profound losses, most heartbreakingly among our children under five. Yet, in the midst of adversity, Sudan's journey continues. The ongoing crisis demands an unprecedented level of commitment and action from us all. The remarkable endurance and resilience of the Sudanese people, facing these trials, serve as a beacon of hope, compelling us to redouble our efforts in support, resource mobilization, and advocacy for peace and recovery. 🤝 Now, the involvement of every member of the Sudanese community, along with our global allies, including businesses, NGOs, and professionals, is imperative. We are at a pivotal moment, where collective action can lead to meaningful progress. It is crucial for us to consider deeply how we can enhance our support for Sudan in 2024, both locally and internationally. Every initiative, no matter how small, from corporate social responsibility to robust humanitarian partnerships, and even raising awareness, has the power to make a significant difference and potentially save lives. 💪 Let's come together with a renewed sense of purpose for our beloved Sudan. The challenges are daunting, but the opportunity to effect positive, lasting change is within our grasp. This is the moment to unite in our efforts to forge a path of hope and healing for our nation. 🕊️ Your voice and actions can play a pivotal role in shaping a brighter future for Sudan. It's time for us to take action. #SudanRecovery2024 #HumanitarianAid #TogetherForSudan This call to action is more than just a message; it's a commitment to engage, collaborate, and innovate for the betterment of Sudan. As professionals, we have a unique opportunity to leverage our skills, networks, and resources in support of Sudan's recovery and resilience. Let's use this platform to start conversations, form partnerships, and drive initiatives that will contribute to the sustainable development and peace in Sudan. Your expertise, your influence, and your passion are needed now more than ever. Join us in making a difference.

📣 Event alert‼️ Join us on Thursday, 17 October at 1300 (GMT+1) for a dynamic online event as we mark the launch of ALNAP ’s evaluation synthesis on the humanitarian response to #COVID19 and explore opportunities for learning and transformation. The COVID-19 pandemic was a crisis unlike any other. It offered the sector a chance to rewrite the rules of humanitarian action. But four years on, the humanitarian response to the pandemic feels like a missed opportunity for change. Inadequate preparedness, doubling down on traditional power dynamics and sector-driven priority-setting limited the transformational potential of the pandemic instead revealing perennial problems in how the international system operates. As the largest crises response in living memory humanitarian organisations have a duty to reflect on what can be learned. How can we be better prepared for future pandemics? What will it take for the system to put affected people at the centre? How can we build a more equitable sector better equipped for the global challenges ahead? Let's get answers together!!
