Chamber and EDC CEO Announces Departure Broken Arrow, OK – April 26, 2024 – Jennifer Conway, President and CEO of the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Corporation, has announced she will be leaving her post at the end of May. “I have enjoyed my time serving the Broken Arrow business community these past five years,” Conway said. “The organizations are stronger than they’ve ever been and this is a good opportunity for me to spend time with my family and focus on my next journey.” She recently earned her Institute for Organization Management credential from the US Chamber of Commerce. “Jennifer has served our community and our Chamber with integrity and passion,” said Ben Buie, chair of the Chamber board of directors. “We appreciate all she has accomplished and wish her well.” Greg Graham, chair of the Economic Development Corporation, also praised Conway, citing her work on the EDC’s capital campaign. “Jennifer was the key leader in creating and executing Amplify Broken Arrow,” Graham said. “Her leadership has been essential to all the work the EDC has accomplished.” During her tenure at the Chamber and EDC, Conway’s accomplishments include: • Awarded the 2022 Shelia Lee Chamber Executive of the Year by the Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executives association for accomplishments of the Chamber and EDC • Chamber received four Communication of Excellence awards by the OCCE for strategic media campaigns and brochures • EDC received Excellence in Economic Development awards from the International Economic Development Council for print brochures •  Successfully rebranded both Chamber and EDC, including new mission, vision, logo, website, and brand guidelines, leading to significantly increased investment, engagement and membership. • Crafted Amplify BA Strategic Capital Plan and Campaign to raising $2.55 million, exceeding campaign goal by 15%.  Strategic plan and brochure received an IEDC award recognition.  Campaign successfully doubled organizational annual revenue.  • Chamber received 5 Star Accreditation from the US Chamber of Commerce in 2023 • Increased Chamber annual revenue by over 40% during tenure Conway said she was grateful for her time in Broken Arrow and appreciates the friendships and connections made during her time in the community.  She is incredibly thankful for the support from the Broken Arrow Chamber and Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors.  She believes the organizations have flourished because of the commitment of the staff she had the honor to work alongside, the leadership of the board and the passion of the members.  “The Chamber and EDC are poised for continued success,” she said. “I know both organizations will excel.” Click here to view official press release: https://bit.ly/4aTuwnm

BA Chamber Annual Awards Gala Recipients Recognized Broken Arrow, OK – February 5, 2024 – Saturday evening, the Broken Arrow Chamber hosted their Awards Gala at River Spirit Casino Resort. This year’s black-tie, Top Gun themed, gala was an elegant evening where business and community leadership achievements in Broken Arrow were recognized and celebrated.     There were 14 awards presented, this year, to a range of businesses and business leaders. Jennifer Jennings Conway of the Broken Arrow Chamber Graduates from the Institute for Organization Management A Leadership Training Program Produced by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce WASHINGTON, D.C.— Institute for Organization Management, the professional development program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, is pleased to announce that Jennifer Conway, IOM, President & CEO, of the Broken Arrow Chamber & Economic Development Corporation, has graduated from the program and has received the recognition of IOM. Awarded to all graduates of the Institute program, the IOM Graduate Recognition signifies the individual’s completion of 96 credit hours of course instruction in non-profit management. In addition, participants can earn credit hours towards the Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) or Certified Association Executive (CAE), certifications. Nearly 1,000 individuals attend Institute annually. “Institute graduates are recognized across the country as leaders in their industries and organizations,” said Raymond P. Towle, IOM, CAE, the U.S. Chamber’s vice president of Institute for Organization Management. “These individuals have the knowledge, skills, and dedication necessary to achieve professional and organizational success in the dynamic association and chamber industries.” Since its commencement in 1921, the Institute program has been educating tens of thousands of association, chamber, and other nonprofit leaders on how to build stronger organizations, better serve their members and become strong business advocates. Institute’s curriculum consists of four weeklong sessions at four different university locations throughout the country.
