Shout out to Wellcome Trust for a funding application platform that verifies EVERYONE on the team agreed to submit AND for AMAZING support staff, especially PAUL. https://lnkd.in/dhR6ehy2 Paul answered the phone yesterday with our desperate call for help on why parts of our application form were not visible on the platform and kept guiding us every hour until 30 minutes before the deadline when we finally hit the submit button as a team. Seeking Collaborators: Community-Based Health and Citizen Science Research Experts for Sickle Cell Disease Study We just submitted a Wellcome Trust request for funding in partnership with Corat Africa, Africa Nazarene University, Centre for Science and Technology Innovations (CSTI), Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, University of The Gambia, The Pathology Network, the UK-Kenya Global Health Innovation Network, Kilimanjaro Christian Medical School, Jimma University, Central Public Health Laboratory, climate change specialists, and health ministries. Call to Action We invite experts in community-based health research and citizen science to collaborate on this groundbreaking research program. Together, we can transform SCD management in East Africa and set a precedent for integrating technology, community engagement, and environmental monitoring to improve health outcomes.
