🎉Happy 1st Work Anniversary to Brittnie Gerard! 🎉 Brittnie is our Office Clerk, who joined us in August of 2023. Here’s what she had to say about her big day: 1- Why did you want to work for/be a part of the Economic Alliance? At first, I did not realize I wanted to, as I started as a temporary employee. However, as I got to know the team and how hard we work to grow a stronger business community, I knew I wanted to stay. 2- What has been the most rewarding part of being on this team? The most rewarding part about being on this team is knowing that what I do every day does matter and is part of the bigger picture. 3- How are you planning on celebrating your anniversary? What excites you about the upcoming year? Hmm… I don’t know how I will celebrate; I haven’t really thought about it until now. Market After Dark is this weekend, and this will be my first time participating in it. I am thrilled to be involved with that! My goal for next year is to grow even more professionally by trying new opportunities and meeting new people. 4- What is your favorite Economic Alliance brand color and why? My favorite EA brand color is teal because it is a great accent color- I even have it in my kitchen.

Today, I am honored to be celebrating my 16-Year Work Anniversary with my company! That is a lifetime to some. It feels amazing. The people who I have met, and the things that I have learned on this journey have shaped my life in so many ways. Here are some of the lessons that I have learned over the years... * Work/life balance is crucial. It is important not to lose sight of what you are working for. Take the vacation. Go to the little-league game. Live a good life. It is short and you only get ONE. So, work to live, not the other way around. * Be kind and respectful and greet everyone. Every person in every position. * Give your respect freely but give your trust wisely. Guard your heart and your personal life. Be discreet. Know the difference between being friends and being friendly. Check your emotions. Don’t react quickly. Observe silently. Avoid office politics and gossip. * Show up. Be consistent and take action. * Be sincere, intentional and authentic. This goes for both your business and your personal life. * Don’t be afraid to ask people to share their wisdom and experience with you. Share your knowledge with others. * Know the difference between healthy competition and unhealthy “comparisonitis”. * Use the right tools, organize everything, and keep good notes. * Clear is Kind. Keep your communications clear, concise and easy to understand. * Confidence in your abilities and knowing your value is important to your success. Believe in yourself and in your work.

🎉 Celebrating my 7th work anniversary today! And thanks to everyone who wished me a happy anniversary on the DM in the past 2 weeks. Today is the official, formation day. Last year, I was able to check off a few things on my bucket list. There were definitely moments when I felt like throwing in the towel, but I’m grateful I didn’t. Resilience has been one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned over the past few years, especially during the pandemic when my entire business depended on a market that kept going in and out of lockdown for 3 years. In the past year, I have met many inspiring people, made new friends, learnt more, created more and shared more—all thanks to my work. Running a China-focused marketing agency is still fun and fulfilling, most of the time! I still love my job after 7 years and here is to many more years of growth and success! ( too early for drinks, here is espresso to kick start the day!) A friend once pointed out that I don’t share enough online, which is true—and sometimes it’s intentional. I refrain from posting too much. While I’m more extroverted in professional settings, I usually only share what I feel is relevant to the business. This habit reflects a mix of cultural influences, personality, social media protocol, and the constant pull in different directions. This year, I’m challenging myself to step out of my comfort zone, just a bit more. While my personality and style may stay the same, I will find more creative ways to create and share insightful content. Stay tuned for more updates!

Of course I had to get some balloons for the occasion 🎈 Celebrating 25 years is no small feat, and this bunch has truly worked hard to get Powerhouse to where we are today. Huge congratulations Rich White, Neil Adams and Tony Lendill! Funnily enough, I’m also celebrating my work anniversary this month. Call it a coincidence 😜 It’s been 2 years since I became part of the family. Having transitioned from B2C, I can confidently say that agency life is MAD. No two days are ever the same, and change is the only constant. Especially when you work with Ben Martin 😂 (love you really!) But I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m trusted. I’m surrounded by the best people, who constantly inspire me to push a little bit further and do better. 🚀 If you’re thinking of making the switch from brand to agency side, here are some things you should be prepared for: 1. Planning is important, but the ability to rapidly adapt is even more so. The pace is fast, and priorities can shift in an instant. 2. Navigating a room full of opinions. You’ll have people around you that are way more creative than you, louder, and more experienced. It can feel overwhelming at first. But trust me, you’ll learn to balance different perspectives and make the right decisions. 3. Even if you’re not in a client-facing role (like me), building strong relationships with your clients is absolutely invaluable. The more you understand them, the easier your job will be. Plus widening your network of peers can only be a good thing. Depending on the agency size, your role can feel pretty lonely at times! 4. Freedom comes at a price. You’ll have more creative freedom, but with that comes greater responsibility. You’re trusted to bring ideas to the table, but you need to deliver results. No ifs or buts. Is there anything else you’d add to the list? 👇🏽

I appreciate all of your kind words on my work anniversary! Reaching a one-year, two-year, or longer milestone in one's profession is usually a significant accomplishment. Serving the organization to the utmost of our abilities using every skill we possess; if this produces fruitful outcomes, we will have effectively completed half of the task. After twelve years in your previous favorite fantasy firm, moving into a new dream job with all the flexibility you need to adjust and move forward is a blessing for every individual. As a firm, Sasken is now on the mission towards a target of 60*4*3. We are effectively advancing toward this goal with good revenue growth and significant accounts in the pipeline, which will improve one's career if they are seeking employment security, career progression, opportunities, and long-term visibility. I'm on a quest to help the firm grow by 60*4*3, and if you want to join me, join me as we make history. When I am talking about company’s work culture, below is the few highlights which every individual look forward: Collaborative Environment: Supportive Leadership: Strong team members: Opportunities for Growth: Work-Life Balance: Inclusive Culture: Recognition and Rewards: Community and Social Responsibility: The most important things I've learned from working with Sasken over the past two years is above mentioned—lessons that every other person in their new firm looks forward to—and if the answer is yes, then this is a chance you shouldn't pass up.

Let’s celebrate Josh Sanchez’s three-year work anniversary with some of his key takeaways! 🥳 ‘There is Power in Community - For me having a strong community at work is what breeds true inclusivity and belonging. These communities have the ability to make you feel empowered and seen. What a beautiful thing to feel at work. If you have a Vision, Take Ownership - Have a vision? Own it and run with it because that’s when a vision can become your reality. Curiosity is an underestimated trait - It’s helped me understand my clients better and see how pieces of our business work together. It’s helped me empathize with others as I’ve gained an understanding of their perspective. It’s led me on a journey of learning as I’ve sought out new knowledge. I’m starting to think the saying “Curiosity killed the cat” was a scare tactic.’ What’s your top takeaway from your time at LinkedIn? 🌟 #LinkedInLife

As I am approaching what would have been my 10-year work anniversary with my former employer in the next couple of days, it's a poignant moment to reflect on the significant chapter of my career that I shared with the company. While circumstances may have led me on a different path since then, the memories, experiences, and lessons learned during my tenure hold a special place in my professional journey. 😇 Thinking back on my time with my former employer, I recall a multitude of memories and milestones that defined my career during those past years. From my very first day on the job to pivotal projects, team successes, and personal achievements, each moment contributed to my growth and development personally and professionally. Not forgetting the highs and lows, the challenges overcome, and the camaraderie shared with colleagues who became friends. I'd like to believe that my contributions to the company over the span of almost a decade undoubtedly left a lasting impact on the organization and those I've worked with. Whether it was through innovative ideas, stella performance, or mentorship of others, my presence was felt within the workplace. My dedication and commitment to my role helped, one way or the other, drive the company forward and contribute to its success. As I approach what would have been my 10-year work anniversary with my former employer, I take this opportunity to look ahead with optimism and gratitude for the experiences that have shaped me. While my journey may have taken a new direction, the foundation laid during my time with the company continues to influence my professional growth and aspirations. I will embrace the lessons learned, the connections made, and the memories cherished as I embark on the next phase of my career 🙏. Though the milestone of a 10-year work anniversary with my former employer may now be a bittersweet reminder of the past, it serves as a testament to my DEDICATION, RESILIENCE, and CONTRIBUTION in the professional realm. Here's to honoring🎖 the journey that brought me to where I am today and to embracing the future with enthusiasm and open arms. 🌟 💐

Work anniversaries suck. They're just reminders of another year gone by. But what if we flipped the script? 5 ways to make your work anniversary actually meaningful: 1. Reflect on growth Take stock of how far you've come since day one. What new skills have you gained? What challenges have you overcome? 2. Set future goals Use this milestone to envision where you want to be next year. What do you want to achieve? What areas do you want to improve? 3. Express gratitude Thank the colleagues who've supported your journey. A heartfelt note can strengthen relationships and boost morale. 4. Give back Consider mentoring a junior colleague or volunteering for a company initiative. Pay it forward and create positive impact. 5. Celebrate uniquely Skip the generic cake. Do something that reflects your personality and values. Maybe it's a team hike or a skill-sharing session. Work anniversaries don't have to be empty rituals. Work anniversary thoughts... Hmm, it feels surreal to be typing this out – my 14-year work anniversary, path of growth, challenges, and countless memories. Don't get me wrong, that I was never thinking if I should have taken a different path, or if there's a grander adventure waiting just beyond the horizon. But then I remember something - I like what I do. I've been entrusted with a responsibility that's both daunting and exhilarating-ensuring Occupational Health and Safety. Working across borders, navigating diverse regulations, and collaborating with colleagues worldwide, every day brings a new puzzle to solve and a new life to safeguard. It's a role that carries weight - the weight of responsibility for the well-being of others, where a misstep could mean more than just a missed deadline. But amidst the seriousness, there's a joy that's hard to explain. Yes, the challenges can be relentless, but they've also been my greatest teachers, shaping me into the person I am today. So, as I pause to celebrate this milestone, I'm filled with gratitude - for the journey that brought me here, for the opportunities that pushed me to grow, and for the incredible people who've believed in me and walked alongside me. Here's to 14 years of learning, of laughter, and of making a difference, one step at a time. Here's to the next chapter, whatever it may hold! #worklife #evolution #anniversary
