Last week Ravshan Adilov moderated a panel on renewable energy at the Energy Week Central Asia & Caspian 2024 organised by Invest In Network. The turning point to watch for achieving the #netzero target in 2060 would be the implementation of a regulatory framework designed to incentivise carbon reduction for public and private companies outside of industrial sectors.

Soil Solutions can offer pivotal support to Astra Energy Inc.'s initiative to develop a 100-Megawatt Clean and Renewable Energy Park in Lesotho, leveraging its expertise in providing innovative and environmentally friendly soil stabilization and dust control solutions. Their involvement can enhance the project's efficiency, sustainability, and overall success in several ways: Infrastructure Stability: Soil Solutions can ensure the stability of the energy park's infrastructure, including access roads and foundations for solar panels or wind turbines, by employing their advanced soil stabilization techniques. This would mitigate erosion risks and ensure long-term structural integrity, crucial for the project's durability and reliability. Dust Suppression: Implementing dust control measures is essential for maintaining optimal operational conditions, especially for solar energy components. Soil Solutions' environmentally friendly dust suppression products can significantly reduce airborne particles that may affect the efficiency of solar panels, contributing to maintaining high energy output levels. Environmental Conservation: Soil Solutions' technologies align with Astra Energy's commitment to environmental sustainability. Their solutions are designed to minimize ecological impact, supporting the project's aim to enhance Lesotho's energy sector without compromising its natural resources. This approach is essential for gaining community support and fulfilling regulatory environmental standards. Project Consultancy: Leveraging Soil Solutions' extensive experience in large-scale projects, Astra Energy can benefit from expert consultancy in planning and implementing soil and dust management strategies. This collaboration can identify potential challenges early and deploy effective solutions, ensuring smooth project progress and timely completion. Enhanced Project Viability: By addressing soil stability and dust control effectively, Soil Solutions can help Astra Energy enhance the project's overall viability and attractiveness to investors and stakeholders. Demonstrating a proactive approach to managing environmental impacts strengthens the project's credentials as a sustainable and responsible investment. Soil Solutions' contribution to Astra Energy Inc.'s Clean and Renewable Energy Park project in Lesotho can be a key factor in its success, ensuring that it not only achieves its energy generation goals but also sets a benchmark for sustainable and environmentally responsible development in the region. https://lnkd.in/dXAQ_v8S #renewableenergy #environmentallyresponsible #lesotho #infrastructuredevelopment #solarpanels #soilstabilization #erosioncontrol #dustcontrol #structuralintegrity #highenergy

Former Gasunie CEO george verberg has called European plans to repurpose natural gas pipelines for renewable hydrogen transport unrealistic, predicting they won’t be feasible until at least 2045. Verberg highlighted safety concerns and hydrogen’s lower energy content, which complicate its integration into existing infrastructure. While the EU aims for 10 million tonnes of renewable hydrogen production and imports by 2030, Verberg said more tests and risk analyses are needed. He criticized the Dutch HyWay 27 report, suggesting that the actual cost of retrofitting pipelines could quadruple to EUR 5-6bn.
