As an aspiring working parent, the struggle is real. The desire to balance a fulfilling career with family life is often met with rigid work structures and a lack of flexibility from employers. It's time for businesses to recognise the value of flexible working arrangements, not just for parents, but for the productivity and well-being of their entire workforce. Let's advocate for a change that supports working parents and fosters a more inclusive, adaptable workplace. #WorkingParents #FlexibleWorking #WorkLifeBalance

A good idea for inclusive business model would be to allow more part time workers. Its really tough for people who have other needs, commitments or just want a better work life balance to find roles in tech that offer reduced hours. It could either be done by the hours worked (Full time expected salary = 40 hrs and then reduce accordingly). Or have the salary relate to work completed so that productive workers who's output is really high can achieve a fair renumeration. If more companies did this I really think this would have a great knock on effect to businesses, the economy, and staff wellbeing. ⭐ More people would be able to work. Less unemployment. ⭐ There would be more work life balance and happier employees who stay long term. ⭐ Happier employers make more productive employees, less time off in burn out, mental health would improve. ⭐ It would allow parents to be more present in their children's lives (a situation which holds much guilt for working parents at the moment). This also benefits the next generation of workers. ⭐ It would benefit those who would love to study something on the side but cannot find the time with FTW and family commitments. What do you think? Could a world with more flexibility to work part time/reduced hours work? #foodforthought #reducedhours #parttimework #worklifebalance
