Remember to connect with each other this #childrenmentalhealthweek Today’s lifestyle is focused on electronic connections. The amount of screen time has exploded along with the information age. Studies show that teens spend approximately nine hours a day in front of screens. Kids aged 8-12 get about six hours of screen time each day, creating a society that is being raised in a digital environment. Why not try some habits that promote connection with your child. 💙Less technology. Your child will remember if you gave your full attention or just listened with half an ear. Dropping everything else when you interact with your child demonstrates how important he/she is to you; much more important than a phone call or email from work. 💙One-on-one time. Every day, schedule 10-15 minutes with each child. Play a game, talk, or go for a walk. Don’t structure the time, let it be a personal time to connect. 💙Slow down. Every interaction is important, demonstrate that you’re listening and that you care. 💙No ritual is better for providing regular connection than a bedtime routine. Reading and talking about their day, gives your children a sense of belonging and security. Don’t rush through it. When you connect with your children every day and in a number of ways, you’ll gain benefits too. The relationship you build will establish positive returns. When your kids become teenagers, they’ll be able to trust your guidance and will actually want to follow it. #support #hereforyou #charity #familysupport #heretolisten #advice #community #broxbourne #hertfordshire #yourvoicematters #childrensmentalhealthweek

This month celebrates National Make a Difference to Children, a time to recognize the impact we can have on children's lives. Our involvement today can shape their futures, providing them with the support and encouragement they need to thrive. Whether through mentoring, volunteering, or simply being a positive role model, every action can make a significant difference. Being involved in a child's life impacts their future by fostering self-esteem, providing guidance, and offering a sense of stability. When children know they have someone who believes in them, they are more likely to pursue their goals and overcome challenges. Our presence can inspire resilience, confidence, and a positive outlook, helping them navigate the complexities of growing up. To observe National Make a Difference to Children Month, consider volunteering your time at local schools, youth programs, or community centers. Donate to organizations that support children's education and well-being, or become a mentor. Spread awareness by sharing stories of positive impact and encouraging others to get involved. Together, we can create a supportive environment where every child has the opportunity to succeed and reach their full potential. #educate #empower #prevent #childprotection #PTWF Paving the Way: https://lght.ly/7bcdbg2 Parent Tool Kit: https://lght.ly/mkagjj

Helping SEN families and mothers on the verge of burnout to access the healing power of nature (and a bit of nurture) to transform lives | Glamping Holidays | Farm Experiences | Transformational Coaching
They say a child with SEND needs is difficult. They say a child with SEND needs won’t achieve. They say a child with SEND needs won’t thrive. They say a child with SEND needs who is home-schooled won’t learn, grow, or make connections. I call that nonsense—a child simply needs to be supported, heard, and encouraged. Teach them in a way that works for them, as unique and beautiful as they are. They will thrive, and so will you! Yes, there are tough moments. Yes, there’s a lot of learning on both sides. But together, we can achieve it all! Because the more support you have around you, the more informed you are, and the more tried-and-tested methods you can try, the easier it becomes. Creating a community that hears and supports you, especially when helping your child through the hard moments, is key. There is nothing more inspiring than a group of motivated, passionate parents encouraging each other. If you want to join The Farming Mother Family and find that support, reach out. We offer monthly in-person and online support sessions (donation-based, minimum £1). Grab a brew, have a chat, and learn how support can make a difference for you. Comment below for the links 👇

🥀Children have a remarkable capacity to help others, and their actions play a significant role in promoting kindness and compassion within society. Through acts of generosity, empathy, and friendship, children contribute to building a more compassionate world. Whether it's sharing toys with a classmate, comforting a friend who's sad, or participating in community service projects, these actions not only demonstrate their innate sense of humanity but also inspire those around them to follow suit. By engaging in these small yet meaningful gestures, children not only help those in need but also cultivate values that will shape their character and interactions as they grow. 🥀The impact of children's actions extends beyond immediate assistance, as their acts of kindness can ripple through communities and create a positive chain reaction. When children see others helping, they're more likely to be motivated to do the same, fostering a culture of caring and empathy. Additionally, their involvement in charitable activities helps them develop a sense of responsibility, awareness of societal issues, and a deeper understanding of the diverse needs of people around them. As they grow into adults, these experiences can lead to a lifelong commitment to making a difference and contributing to the betterment of humanity. In essence, children's efforts to help others not only directly benefit those they assist but also contribute to shaping a more compassionate and interconnected world for everyone. #HumanityMatters #SpreadKindness #BeTheChange #CompassionInAction #EmpathyMatters #TogetherForGood #MakeADifference #LoveAndServe #CaringCommunities #InspireHumanity #helpinghands #helpingothers

CEO | Qualified Welfare Counsellor | Keynote Speaker | Advocate for Disabilities and Inclusive Educations | Dedicated to Empowering Communities
As the CEO of Keeley’s Cause, there’s no greater joy than witnessing the transformative impact of gifting an iPad to a child living with autism or an intellectual disability. Through technology, these children access a world they often understand far better than we do. An iPad isn’t just a device; it’s a tool for empowerment. It provides children with self-worth, helps them learn in the way that suits them best, regulates meltdowns, alleviates depression, and equips them with the tools they need to navigate the world around them. So why wouldn’t we want children with autism and intellectual disabilities to have access to these life-changing resources? This is why we do what we do at Keeley’s Cause—to bridge the gap for those who are in need but don’t have access to these essential tools. If you’d like to support a child and be a part of their journey, you can donate at the following link: https://lnkd.in/g358Euz #inclusiveeducation #disabilitysupport #ipad #technolgy #autism #neurodivergent #journey #joinus #nonprofit #charity #bridgingthegap #changinglives #makinganimpact #supportingothers

Our big world is going through a lot right now. Here are some ideas for talking with kids about these uncertain times: 1. Touch base on the headlines. Be honest and keep them informed as much as it is age-appropriate. A steady diet of the news may only breed anxiety. Children need to know that they are safe and secure. 2. Stay connected with family members and friends in affected areas. Phone calls, texts, emails and social media posts provide assurance to all that these important relationships are intact. 3. Volunteer and donate. Kids can help pack supply boxes or care bags. The project may take a bit more time, but teaching kids the value of serving others is more than worth it. The pennies kids give can add up to big money. #kids #family #hope #mentalhealth #wellbeing #sel #giving #service #community Love In A Big World

Simple Communications for Complex Causes • Nonprofit Brand Designer + Copywriter, Coruzzi Communications • TEDx Speaker
1 year ago, I delivered a Tedx Talk that distills my seemingly disconnected experiences in marketing communications and within systems like foster care and education. The takeaways? -Education, poverty, foster care, addiction, the way we communicate, the way we consume information– it’s all connected. - These are not complicated, mysterious issues. They are CAUSED by human action (or inaction), and are solvable by human action. -We need to consider the attitudes and assumptions we make about people navigating the most difficult moments of their lives. Only then will society see major progress. - In addition to meeting immediate material needs, charitable efforts ought to challenge broken systems and root causes.

Nonprofit Executive, Director of Development and Community Engagement, story teller, advocate, public speaker, event planner, fundraiser, mother, and a person in long term recovery
Ahhh! This is the moment that everything will come to a head! Leaning back and putting my body #overtheedge is going to be so scary, exciting, and nerve-wracking! But I’m willing to do it for an incredible cause! I’m going to rappel to expand adolescent recovery services because I wish a place like 4D Recovery existed when I started experiencing Substance Use Disorder in high school. A place that made RECOVERY look attractive to me. A place where I could see other people I thought were cool and admired who chose SOBRIETY and had a lot of fun doing it! When I was in high school the kids I saw having fun were the ones dropping acid and MDMA, or at the least getting high and drinking at all the parties. But the fact is, with the surge of fentanyl - it’s no longer safe for kids to have an experimental phase like so many of us did! And in Oregon, there are very few resources available to people under the age of 18. It’s time to expand adolescent recovery support and treatment! What an EPIC way to bring awareness and raise money for the future of our world.. our youth! 🔆 I’m looking for local businesses who want to join us as sponsors as we descend into action, raising vital funds and awareness. As well as individuals who want to take the plunge with us this June at the Hyatt Centric Downtown Portland! 🔆 THIS opportunity for team building and corporate partner visibility is unlike anything you've ever participated in before. Plus, you will make a lasting impact in your community. Will you #rappelforrecovery with us? https://lnkd.in/gAvP53VK #rappelforrecovery #overtheedge #sobermovement #soberlifestyle #4drecovery #corporatesponsorship #philanthropy #communityimpact #overtheedge

Touch is a universal language that transcends words. It can communicate emotions, intentions, and even boundaries. Yet, this profound language can become a tangled code., once a comfort touch, morph into a question mark. A prickle of unease that leaves us speechless. The violation lingers, an unspoken truth buried beneath a suffocating silence. Armed with empathy and courage, our team of volunteers tackle the toughest topics with unwavering dedication. Their sensitivity allows them to understand, their bravery allows them to act – our volunteers are truly the backbone this drive. Through interactive games, stories, and role-playing activities, we’ll create a foundation of trust and open communication. Children will learn to identify safe touches (like hugs from family) and unsafe touches (like hitting or unwanted touching of private areas) In this drive we not only educate children about touch but also empower kids to trust their instincts and say “no” to unsafe touch. As this is a crucial step in protecting their physical and emotional well-being. With such drives, we equip children with the tools to navigate challenging situations and seek help when needed. Let's work together to empower children to establish healthy boundaries, communicate their needs effectively, and prioritize their safety above all else.🧿 📍Chandigarh • • #LearnWithSelflessSewa #HopeForAll #EducationForAll #HopeInAction #LearningWithoutLimits #HopeFoundationWorks #socialgood #volunteer #HopeForChange #socialwork #EmpowerWithHope #sustainability #impact #charity #YourCity #volunteering #helpothers #supportneeded #kindness #empowerment #theoryofchange #SupportSelflesssewa #makingdifference #nonprofit #humanity

💤 Skegee: Your go-to for vegan sleep gummies and holistic wellness supplements. Sleep better, live healthier. 🌱
On National Build Day, Alabama Professional Services and Sleep in Heavenly Peace joined forces to tackle a daunting issue: child bedlessness. This initiative aimed to provide hand-made beds to children who, without this support, would have to sleep on floors or couches, contributing to severe health and emotional challenges. Reflecting on my own experiences, I remember volunteering for community projects similar to this where we came together, rolled up our sleeves, and made a tangible impact. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about working collectively to uplift those in need—it's a reminder of the positive change we can create in our communities. Did you know that sleep deprivation can lead to hyperactivity, anxiety, and depression in children? The bedlessness crisis is real, and initiatives like these are crucial for fostering healthier futures for our youth. What can you do to contribute to this cause? Consider volunteering your time or donating to organizations that address these pressing issues. Together, we can bring hope and comfort to the lives of children. #ChildWelfare #CommunitySupport #Volunteer #SleepInHeavenlyPeace #AlabamaProfessionalServices #NationalBuildDay
