Just listened to an interview with Dieter Helm discussing the Energy Transition and how to measure Net Zero. As someone who regularly listens to Rory Stewart and Alastair Campbell, I found Helm's insights particularly interesting. Excellent podcast with a plain-spoken explanation of the issues around a pending #cpuc proceeding and controversial proposed decision on the future of #communitysolar in California. Regulated industries and monopolies have their societal benefits, but also have inherent inefficiencies. Right now, we are at a critical point in evolving our #electricgrid into a smarter, faster and more reliable network.
