Co-CEO of Catalyst + Totango, a customer growth platform that helps businesses protect and grow revenue from their customer base.

I’m beyond proud to share that Catalyst was just named one of America’s Top 100 Best Startup Employers by Forbes. That said, building a startup right now is freaking hard, here’s how we are doing it 👇 Every day, it feels like a new chaotic wave is crashing down – at Catalyst too. From tough situations with culture planning, to team members moving on, to people begging for more resources, our journey’s been anything but smooth. Perfection is a myth we don’t chase at Catalyst. What we do chase is relentless honesty, clarity about where we’re heading, and a refusal to let our vision fade – to keep businesses alive and revenues growing through customers. Now here’s the real talk on how we keep our team fighting through the storm: 1. ONE team mentality. Silos don't exist here. We’re in this together. It’s about lifting each other up, learning from the losses, and helping each other win. We have biweekly meetings where stakeholders in EVERY department come together to help solve business problems. There's never a meeting that we don't walk out of with more $, more customers, better processes, or preventing a churn. 2. Our mission and vision are the NORTH STAR. Keeping companies in business and providing the tools and methods to protect and grow revenue – it’s not just a job. It’s our cause. And it’s never been more critical, especially in this economy. 3. CONSTANT communication. We shout about successes, whether it’s a team breakthrough or individual kudos. Over communication? Maybe. But in times of uncertainty, redundancy turns into a powerful tool that builds resilient mindsets across our team. 4. Transparency is our flow. We’ve opened the books on metrics and performance, sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly. It’s about trust. As leaders, you need to trust your team members can handle bad news, if they don't understand why it feels rocky right now, how could you expect them to help you fight it? Getting on Forbes’ Top 100 isn’t just a pat on the back; it’s a learning experience. Despite the headwinds, the doubts, and the inevitable stumbles, we’re doing something right. This recognition? It’s for every late night, every tough call, every moment of weakness that our team prevailed. To my Catalyst Software family and our new Totango family, this one’s for us. For believing in our mission in the face of adversity, for pushing forward when it would have been easier to pull back. Our resilience, our passion, and our commitment are what make us who we are. If these past months are any indication of where we are going, nothing but bright lights ahead 🔆 #bettertogether #ForbesTop100 #StartupLife #RealTalk #OneTeam https://lnkd.in/gSA-Wtpa
