What’s the Difference Between Water and Wastewater? Ha! Got you there. Trick question. There’s really no difference at all. At my company, Bartholomew Water Services, we like to say, “Water is water … the only real difference is how it’s treated.” Throughout the State of Arizona, we’ve become experts in planning, building, maintaining, and operating wastewater treatment systems. Yes, we handle water reuse sites, which is where water comes out of your factory and is next used to water … say, your golf course. Or to fill up a lake. No, you don’t want to skip calling us. Why? Because things often turn out badly when people don’t. Imagine what happens if your factory doesn’t treat its effluents correctly. Or your condo complex doesn’t properly maintain and operate its private sewer. Or your business park does the same thing. People like to say, “When $hit hits the fan … “ But in my business, it’s ten times more expensive when $hit explodes out of a manhole. The Department of Water Resources estimates above-normal water supply conditions for the San Joaquin Valley and the Sacramento Valley according to forecasts released this week. There has not been an above-normal water year since 2005 in the Sacramento Valley and 2010 in the San Joaquin Valley. 💧August is National Water Quality Month! 💧 The Land Trust for Tennessee understands just how important land is - but a major part of what makes our land here in Tennessee so valuable, diverse, and life-sustaining is the water that flows through it. The Land Trust is driven to continue protecting areas of high water quality to ensure a healthy future for generations to come. We did this water quality analysis, based on a combination of recent, on-the-ground sampling data and land-based factors, to give us a reading on the health of our watersheds. Further, it assists in the prioritization of land conservation projects that will have the greatest impact on nearby and downstream water quality.
