When I say the phrase “inclusive hospitality” I mean it for Everyone and if there’s a trend that I’ve noticed over the past couple of years in the non-alc space it’s that entirely too many players in the segment look like me and present as I do. If we’re going to do this thing together, make sure YOU do better by being inclusive and representative of everyone across all spectrums of life- multi-ethnic, abled and “disabled” (still not a fan of that term), neurodivergent, non-binary & binary, spiritual/religious and not, etc.- all of us. This space- as sports, theater, bars and pubs, art and music are, is one of the Great Equalizers and one that SHOULD embrace the option and opportunities that we are granted to be better for all of human kind, regardless of the drink of choice. Today, as we close out MLK Day in the US, I choose to highlight this article because without the Black community in the US and abroad, the non-alc segment wouldn’t have the momentum that it does and that needs to be heard more often and louder. #dryjanuary #nonalcoholic #inclusivehospitality #makeitalyres

Tannins, Finish, Structure, Fruit Level, Age. Yes we're talking about wine. In a recent UX/UI Bootcamp, I worked on an app with Data Analysts to help users create wine lists based on mood, food or weather. They can rate their favourite wines and then see a dashboard of their wine preferences and offer suggestions of wines in the future. Let me know what you think? https://lnkd.in/eSmrYUSi

Before there was PBR, there was RWB (Red, White & Blue Beer.) Vinepair calls it “the brewed equivalent of a White Castle slider: dirt cheap, somewhat satisfying, and American as it gets.” It was literally born on the 4th of July in 1899. It was the beer of choice for Milwaukee college kids at a dive bar that was famous for the “naked beer slide.” With a killer retro design, we’re wondering why this doesn’t still exist in our lives. (In this case, wondering is pronounced “begging.”) So we’re putting this out to the universe. We’ll help bring this brand back. Make it an LTO for the 4th of July, one of the biggest beer-selling holidays of the year. Make it available for the Summer Olympics. Heck, let’s start a petition to make the naked beer slide an Olympic sport. Together, maybe we can bring this once-storied beer back. Who’s with us? Let’s gooooo! Ahem. We’re back (and maybe a little winded). In other links for this week’s collection, we have minimalist collage art, out-of-this-world Oreos, a wine label design that may cause you to wrestle someone, and a discussion of big ideas from a big thinker. Plus, music from an alt rock band before that was even a genre: https://bit.ly/42g0hnp #destroyagency #practicallydangerous #creativity #advertising #strategy #design #instagram #packaging #branding #insights #beverageindustry #beer
