How are you today? Tell us what you want to hear from us. Organic sushi can be a delightful and healthy choice for those who love sushi and want to prioritize organic ingredients. Here's a guide to help you navigate the world of organic sushi: Choose Organic Fish: When selecting fish for your sushi, look for varieties that are sustainably sourced and certified organic. This ensures that the fish are raised in an environmentally friendly manner without the use of antibiotics, hormones, or pesticides. Common organic fish options include salmon, tuna, and shrimp. Opt for Organic Rice: Rice is a staple ingredient in sushi, so choosing organic rice can make a significant difference. Organic rice is grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, and it's often more flavorful and nutritious than conventionally grown rice. Fresh Organic Vegetables: Incorporating organic vegetables into your sushi adds freshness and flavor. Look for organic options such as cucumbers, avocados, carrots, and sprouts to enhance the nutritional value of your sushi rolls. Organic Nori Sheets: Nori, or seaweed, is used to wrap sushi rolls. Opt for organic nori sheets that are free from artificial additives and pesticides. Organic nori tends to have a cleaner taste and a better texture compared to non-organic varieties. Start your day the #regenerative way. 🌿 ❤️ Our Regenerative Organic Certified® Unsweetened Almond milk is a constant customer fave, and for good reason... with ONLY 3 ingredients (ROC™ almonds, filtered water, and sea salt) it doesn't get any better than that! 🥛 Each 32oz carton contains at least 55 almonds used to make the almond milk inside, which is more than 10 times what the largest competitors use in the same amount of their almond milk. Using this many almonds makes it taste rich, creamy, and delicious — just like homemade. 🌳 Since we use ROC™ almonds from Burroughs Family Farms to make our almond milk, you know that we're sourcing from one of the best almond farms in the world... and it just so happens to be located right here in sunny California. Improving local agriculture while supporting regenerative organic farming AND using the cleanest almond milk around... that's what we think starting your day right looks like! 😍 #newbarnorganics #regenerativeorganic #regen #regenag #ROC #regenerativeorganiccertified #regenerativefarming #regenerativeagriculture #farmliketheworlddependsonit #loveisfood #newbarn Regenerative Organic Alliance

OF&G (Organic Farmers & Growers CIC) has published a manifesto targeting policymakers, which sets out a framework for radical policy change based on the four principles of the organic food and farming movement – health, ecology, fairness, and care. OF&G’s chief executive, Roger Kerr says the future of food and farming is becoming a political hot potato. “The nation’s seen huge upheaval in the last eight years. A flawed food system has left the country at the tipping point of catastrophic environmental and human health crises. Decisive action cannot come soon enough. We need policies that create jobs, improve rural livelihoods while delivering sustainable and economically viable food and farming systems,” says Kerr. “Restoring this balance and equity requires ambition and vision from Government. The long-term effects of recent policies are still unfolding, but the need for action is urgent. One thing is clear; we must aspire to accomplish more.” OF&G says that by considering organic’s four founding principles, its manifesto identifies solutions that address the “huge disparity” that exists in current food and farming systems. Founded in 1937, Lundberg Family Farms has been a pioneer in sustainable farming practices. It was great to learn about this long-standing commitment and how the company is meeting today’s and future challenges from Bryce Lundberg and Brita Lundberg. A few highlights of this Forbes article: 🌿 Bryce and Brita emphasize the importance of #Regenerative Organic Certification (#ROC) in holding the industry accountable for meaningful change. This rigorous certification is from the Regenerative Organic Alliance which was founded by the Rodale Institute, Patagonia and Dr. Bronner's’s. 🌍 ROC demands farming that not only protects but rehabilitates the #environment, prioritizing not just #soilhealth, but also #animalwelfare, and social fairness including farmer wellbeing. 🌾 Lundberg recently certified 8,500 acres of rice fields and now offers over 70 ROC products. They are committed to being fully Regenerative Organic Certified by 2027. 📚 I also discuss these themes in my forthcoming book #TheProfiteers.
