Croda Foundation is delighted to be supporting Cleft Lip and Palate Awareness Week in conjunction with our project partners Cleft Lip and Palate Association (CLAPA). One in 700 babies is born with a cleft around the world; it can happen in any pregnancy, even with no family history, and can affect a baby’s hearing and ability to speak. Clefts can also impact feeding, which is why Croda Foundation is proud to support CLAPA by funding specialist bottles and teats to families in need all around the UK. 🍼 These special bottles offer relief, hope and a practical solution for parents struggling to feed their babies. Without special bottles like these, parents often have to resort to time-consuming methods like spoon or syringe-feeding or even invasive methods like feeding tubes. With these special bottles and teats, they can quickly establish a feeding routine and leave the hospital to enjoy those precious early weeks of bonding at home. 👶 Learn more about cleft lip and palate and how to support someone coming to terms with a new diagnosis at CLAPA.com/CleftAware. #CleftAware #crodafoundation #improvinglives
