#ICYMI: We’re #DFAProud of the continued progress the dairy industry is making on the global stage. Earlier this month, the U.S. Dairy Export Council and the National Milk Producers Federation led productive meetings focused on strengthening ties in South America, signing partnerships with Brazil's Abraleite and renewing collaboration with Argentina's Sociedad Rural Argentina (SRA). Alex Peterson, a DFA farmer-owner, chairman of USDEC, and a NMPF board member, shared how these agreements focus on boosting dairy's economic and social impact while tackling trade barriers.
U.S. Dairy Export Council is committed to collaborating with experts in each country’s market to best understand trade barriers, how to increase access to high-quality dairy for consumers and expand export opportunities for U.S. dairy farmers and producers. We recently signed two MOUs with delegates in both Brazil and Argentina, which play a foundational role and represents our commitments to partnership. I’m proud of the work we’re doing in each market, as it’s crucial in advancing U.S. dairy exports and in foraging connections with partners in other regions. As a dairy farmer myself, I can say with certainty that we’re no strangers to collaboration. Dairy farmers are constantly sharing innovative ideas to evolve our businesses – whether that’s employing solutions to improve cow care or increase total milk yield – and the industry continues to advance because of it. Collaboration with international partners is much the same, creating a healthy cycle of information sharing with the added benefit of helping expand consumers’ access to high-quality, nutritious dairy products around the globe.
