At the recent HousingWire event, he gave a fantastic presentation that showed everyone best practices for being effective and impactful on LinkedIn. Guys, we’re facing a unique time in our industry where we’ve never been more challenged to shift, evolve, and recreate ourselves. That means: -> You need to help your customers build wealth with real estate faster by making smarter mortgage decisions. -> You need to proactively coach customers over time to ensure they always have the best mortgage to achieve their goals. -> You need to use data-driven insights to your advantage to meet the customer where they are in their season of life. -> You need to equip and educate other partners and professionals on how to be the best coaches. The Modern Mortgage and Real Estate Summit was an incredible day of impact and inspiration. We had 13 mortgage professionals plus 5 successful real estate agents, totaling 18 TED Talk keynotes and an entire room of industry change agents. (Not to mention, 4,065 people watched it live virtually.) Given my theme, “Obsessed with Impact,” it meant a lot to be able to educate and deliver value to such an amazing group. I said there what I will say now: That room can/will change the mortgage industry for the better to help consumers achieve the American Dream of homeownership and financial freedom. I also believe that it is a perfect year for the NAR Settlement–the real estate industry is changing for agents, and that’s going to revolutionize mortgages and housing moving forward. For those of you who were part of the summit, whether in person or watching it virtually, the time for action is now. I recently had one of my best walking meetings with Sean Herrero. I was scheduled to speak at Sean’s workshop, but beforehand, we got up early to carve out some time to walk and catch up. We started our walk before sunrise, and then, towards the end, we saw the sun come up, and it was incredible (as you can see in the video). But my favorite part was brainstorming with Sean about how we can create more impact in our industry, including FirstHomeIQ, TrustEngine, and overall mortgage professionals. One thing that stood out to me is the power and magic that occurs when growth-minded people get together with peace, creativity, and positive intentions. Sean and I spent our discussion focusing on the things we CAN control and came up with some incredible ideas we plan on implementing moving forward. So, I want to give a big shout-out to Sean for creating inspiration and innovation in our industry. He epitomizes a modern mortgage professional, and now he’s going deep to help elevate others so they can: ✅Amplify authenticity ✅Be great advisors ✅Leverage data to be the best coaches Sidenote: It was awesome to attend Sean’s hands-on, two-day workshop, where he shared his processes and strategies for success. I came across an episode of NPR’s Life Kit, with host Marielle Segarra, where NPR health correspondent Rhitu Chatterjee talks to Aditi Nerurkar, MD, MPH about 5 ways to reset our stress levels.
