A ground breaking study reveals a promising path for hydrogen to revolutionise the way we power our SA homes and industries. 🏠⚡ The Australian Hydrogen Centre's research highlights the potential and feasibility of incorporating hydrogen into the state's distribution networks, paving the way to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. 🌱 The results are nothing short of remarkable: ✅ Transitioning to 100% hydrogen in our gas network is not only feasible but a game-changer. ✅ Optimise underutilised renewable infrastructure offering 3230 MW of electrolyser capacity and 6 petajoules of long-term hydrogen storage by 2050. ✅ Hydrogen production could soar from 550 terajoules per year in 2030 to a whopping 34.95 petajoules per year in 2050 – That’s an incredible 6400% increase! ✅ Potential generation of 2204 SA jobs during construction, with 875 ongoing jobs. As hydrogen gains global importance, this study reaffirms its pivotal role in rapidly decarbonising the world's economy. 🌏 Read more here ➡️ https://bit.ly/3QIuGq6 SA Government | Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) #Hydrogen #RenewableEnergy #GreenFuture #Sustainable #Innovation #CleanEnergy #SouthAustralia #Gas #NewJobs #NetZero #AustralianHydrogenCentre #Decarbonisation
