Thursday evening’s significant weather event has damaged the high-voltage network in the State’s Far North. Power supply has been impacted and ElectraNet crews are working to restore power as soon as possible. Further updates will be provided as investigations continue.

For every dollar invested in the Geological Survey of South Australia, at least $6.50 is returned to the South Australian economy!    This figure comes from a recent economic study by ACIL Allen, which also found that the Survey hosts a treasure trove of public data with a replacement value exceeding $7.5 billion.   It comes as data made possible by the Geological Survey of South Australia and the South Australian Drill Core Reference Library contributed to a remarkable Titanium-Heavy Mineral Sand discovery at Petratherm Ltd Muckanippie Project near Coober Pedy- a potential world-class mineral find!   With over 140 years of data collection, the Survey has been integral to significant discoveries in our mining history and is set to meet the growing demand for critical minerals as we move towards a sustainable future.   #SouthAustralia #Titanium #Mining #Geoscience #Sustainability #CriticalMinerals
