Our CEO, Chase Weir, had the pleasure and privilege to contribute at last week's roundtable, “Reimagining Energy Infrastructure for the Supply and Demand of Tomorrow." Describing Distributed Sun as doing business "wherever the sun shines" (solar+) and trucurrent as "wherever electrons flow" (microgrids+mobility), Chase previewed highlights from his upcoming talk, "Everything Now & Next at the Grid Edge." Discussants shared insights on (accelerating) fleet + building electrification, (adopting) smart microgrids, (valuing) distributed energy resources, (monetizing) virtual power plants, (optimizing) charging infrastructure, (stabilizing) the grid edge, and more. A special thanks to Phillip Cornell, Global Practice Lead at Economist Impact and Senior Fellow with Atlantic Council, Michael Rothbard, MBA, Head of Programs at The Economist, Ruben Llanes, our partner and CEO at AutoGrid, and friends at Schneider Electric for their support of this important and timely industry dialogue. Expertly moderated and brilliantly coordinated, roundtable discussants included Ruben Llanes (CEO of AutoGrid) Chris Baker (Chief Executive Office of Enel X Way) Yuval Steiman (Director of Eco-Compliance and Research of Hyundai Motor America) Kristi McKenney (Chief Operating Officer at Port of Oakland) Robert Piconi (Chairman & CEO of Energy Vault) Laura Renger (Executive Director of California Electric Transportation Coalition), Zach Woogen (Senior Policy Manager of Vehicle-Grid Integration Council), Brian Grunkemeyer (Founder and CEO of FlexCharging) John Taggart (Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder of WeaveGrid) Neil Maguire (Chief Technology Officer of Scale Microgrids) Lisa Arellanes (Principal Manager of eMobility at Southern California Edison (SCE)), Michelle Kinman (SVP of Market Transformation from Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI)) and Chase Weir (CEO of Distributed Sun & trucurrent). #fleetelectrification #microgrids #virtualpowerplants #gridmodernization #gridstability #v2g #distributedenergyresources
