Cultiv8 Hemp Solutions could have saved Rolls-Royce a lot of time, money and energy (no pun intended) going down the electric/hydrogen powered airplanes path, but I guess some have to learn the hard way. Cultiv8 Hemp Solutions Hemp based #saf is the only cost effective and scalable path to decarbonizing aviation today without needing to upgrade planes or Infrastructure. “I don’t believe in the next 15, 20 years hydrogen will play a role,” Chief Executive Officer Tufan Erginbilgic said on a media call on Tuesday. While the company is working on hydrogen technology with discount carrier EasyJet Plc, Erginbilgic said he believes sustainable aviation fuel, or SAF, will be the sole pathway for large jets to achieve net zero climate targets.” Anyhow, register for Cultiv8 Hemp Solutions next webinar “Decarbonizing and the Steel industry with green hydrogen from hemp renewable natural gas”: https://lnkd.in/dRGMR_Cb #renewableenergy #biogas #hydrogen #renewablehempdiesel #renewablediesel #greenhydrogen #wind #energystorage #offshorewind #hemp #sustainableaviationfuel #saf #renewablenaturalgas #renewablehempnaturalgas #virtualpowerplant #carbonnegative #decarbonization #cultiv8hs #aviation #alternativeenergy #artificialintelligence #alternativefuels #biorefineries #biofuels #bioenergy #bluehydrogen #carboncapture #carbonemissions #co2capture #ccus #cleanenergy #climatechanges #carbonneutral #climatecrisis #circulareconomy #climateaction #circularplastics #combustion #carbonnegative #carbonfootprint #carbonreduction #decarbonization #decarbonisation #digitaltransformation #digitalization #emissionscontrol #energytransition #efuels #energy #energyefficiency #environment #ethanol #futurefuels #fuel #greenhydrogen #hydrogen #lng #marine #methane #marinefuels #methanol #maritime #netzero #oilandgas #oilindustry #powertox #renewableenergy #renewables #refining #renewable #shipping #sustainability #sustainableenergy #sustainable #sustainableaviationfuel #thermalenergy #wastetoenergy #zerocarbontransition #zeroemission #zerowaste

Synthetic fuel technology leader CAPHENIA has signed a significant agreement to supply sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to German leisure airline Condor Flugdienst GmbH starting in 2027. This partnership marks a crucial step in the advancement of SAF, signaling strong market potential and investor interest. Dr. Mark Misselhorn, CEO of Caphenia, emphasized the importance of this collaboration: “The partnership with Condor is a remarkable step for the development of SAF. The signal it sends in this crucial phase of SAF production ramp-up is groundbreaking. It shows the market and potential investors that, through cooperation and foresight, it is possible to provide the required quantities of SAF for aviation.” As part of this agreement, Condor will support Caphenia in the development process towards market maturity, ensuring access to agreed-upon quantities of SAF once production reaches industrial scale. This collaboration highlights Condor’s commitment to sustainability and innovation in aviation. Caphenia’s cutting-edge power-and-biogas-to-liquid (PBtL) reactor technology is at the forefront of renewable fuel production. By converting biomethane, CO2, water, and electricity into syngas, Caphenia produces renewable fuels and other chemical products with remarkable efficiency. The company claims its technology uses six times less electricity and achieves up to 92% CO2 reduction, making it possible to offer renewable fuels at competitive prices. The development of Caphenia’s eSAF production plant in Hochst Industrial Park, Germany, is a significant milestone. Green hydrogen can be used as a sustainable aviation fuel by utilizing it in fuel cells to power electric motors. Typically, green hydrogen is produced through a process called electrolysis, which involves using renewable electricity to split water into hydrogen and oxygen. This process produces hydrogen without any carbon emissions, making it a clean and sustainable energy source. Once produced, green hydrogen can be used in fuel cells to generate electric power for aircraft. By using this hydrogen-derived electricity to power electric motors, aircraft can reduce their carbon dioxide emissions by up to 80% compared to traditional fossil fuel-powered flights. The process involves using renewable energy to produce green hydrogen, which is then used to power electric motors that drive the aircraft's propulsion system. This creates a closed-loop system where the only by-product is water vapor, making it a truly sustainable aviation fuel. In addition to cutting CO2 emissions, green hydrogen also has the potential to reduce other harmful emissions associated with aviation, such as nitrogen oxides and particulate matter. Its use as a sustainable aviation fuel has the potential to revolutionize the industry and significantly reduce its environmental impact. Agastya Hydrogen's plan to establish a captive refuelling station at every airport has the potential to transform air travel into a greener mode of transportation. The availability of green hydrogen refuelling infrastructure at every airport can enable aircraft to switch to sustainable aviation fuel, significantly reducing their environmental impact. With green hydrogen produced through electrolysis using renewable electricity, the captive refuelling stations would ensure a constant and reliable supply of clean fuel for aircraft. This would allow airlines to transition from traditional fossil fuel-powered flights to utilizing green hydrogen as a sustainable aviation fuel. <AGH40 -100> #SAF #CleanEnergyFuture #HydrogenFuture #AgastyaEnergy #GreenHydrogen #Sustainability #RenewableEnergy #AgastyaHydrogen #DeepTech #GreenEnergyTech #EnergyTech #SustainableTransport #GreenHydrogenSeries #AgastyaEnergy #Steel #Cement #Fertiliser #Mobility #Energy #Research #GreenCement #GreenIron #GreenSteel #GreenAmmonia #GreenManufacturing #GreenIndustries #ArtificialIntelligence #GreenEnergyManagement #EnergyManagement #EnergyTransition #AIinGreenEnergy #GreenHydrogen #Sustainability #RenewableEnergy #Decarbonization #CleanEnergyFuture #AgastyaEnergy #AgastyaHydrogen #InnovationForTomorrow

Some big news in UK #SAF development last week as major green jet fuel firm Velocys secures $40m USD of funding from investors 🤝 This flow of capital from the private sector into SAF initiatives affirms the value of #SustainableFuels, and a boost in funding means the UK could see large-scale SAF plants go into production sooner rather than later. However, the reality is that kick-starting SAF production at such scale is a complex and costly endeavour. How can we ensure that funds are used wisely to advance green fuel production? Is there enough to go around? At Avioxx, we believe that investing in diversity and innovation is the key💡 Using various feedstocks, designing highly efficient catalysts and reactors and exploring novel pathways are main focus areas when it comes to developing synthetic fuel sustainably and economically, and we hope to see more funds being allocated toward this research. What do you think about this latest news in SAF investments? https://lnkd.in/gS5RZse4 #NetZero2050 #aviation
