Another collaboration is reaching its final step. In this one, we came together with Leonie Kralinger, Kateryna Pereverza representing KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Annelie Viksten from Skellefteå Science City in a project that originally aimed at providing a more realistic visualisations of mobility hubs in winter cities, yet ended up doing a bit more... 🌟 The Visual Toolkit is developed within the “Climate-neutral and inclusive communities - Skellefteå” project. With it, we aim to provide visual prototypes of a mobility hub that is context-driven and specific to Nordic ‘winter cities’ - cities that experience winter conditions for a large part of the year. The project is based on existing work by: Kateryna Pereverza, Annelie Viksten and Moa Ribjer. 🌟

One of CannonDesign ambitions, The Big Rethink, is all about flipping the tables on conventions and embracing the unexpected. SRG + CannonDesign did exactly that when designing two parking garages for a renowned athletic company. These next-generation structures redefine the typical parking experience by prioritizing placemaking and creating substantial spaces for pedestrian and recreational use. My question to the panelist: how can urban planning and space design organically promote intergen interactions? Constance Singam, thank you for your honest and wise response… ‘nothing is organic, it needs to be created. Simple and profound; so let’s engineer intergen engagements through doaces, experiences and programs. Let’s not stop at Why Not? Let’s intentionally and progressively do it! Here is an example: Inclusive spaces project by Frasers Property Limited in partnership with Design for Change Singapore It was intentional and co-designed by 4 generations coming together as teams. https://lnkd.in/gzrnbwaB

I am glad to share that I have officially completed the online course 'Street Experiments for Sustainable and Resilient Cities' by the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and EIT Urban Mobility, taught by Benjamin Büttner, PhD, and Ana Rivas, MA. This course provided me with valuable insights into how we can use street experiments to create more sustainable and resilient cities. Over four weeks, I explored: 1. Raising Awareness: Understanding how to achieve more livable, green, and enjoyable cities. 2. Knowing Street Experiments: Learning to create and reimagine urban spaces. 3. Implementing Street Experiments: Putting concepts into action. 4. Evaluating Street Experiments: Assessing efforts to drive systemic change. I'm excited to apply these learnings to contribute to the development of vibrant, sustainable urban environments.

"Compared with the United States, European cities tend to be more walkable and pedestrian-friendly. Rotterdam gave its post-war roads back to cyclists. Paris converted an expressway into public space. Dublin banned automobiles in its city center. These efforts make streets charming and vibrant — and also make them healthier. Many of these European initiatives were made possible thanks to a significant historical advantage: urban design that predates the automobile.
