French-Danish task force on health confirms 2024 guiding principles Bilateral relations on health confirm strong interests in continuing exchanges on digitalisation and resilient healthcare systems in a European and international context of focus on green transition and innovation. WHO launches new network for advancing data and digital solutions for health WHO/Europe has launched the Strategic Partners' Initiative for Data and Digital Health, a collaboration network that brings together the 53 Member States of the WHO European Region and leading partners in the fields of data and digital health. Despite the promising potential of data and digital solutions for health, countries in the Region still experience challenges with financing, implementing and governing the digital transformation of their health systems. The Global Initiative on Digital Health (GIDH) is a World Health Organization Managed Network aiming to amplify and align resources toward country-led digital health transformation through strengthened collaboration and knowledge exchange. It acts as a vehicle to facilitate the implementation of the Global Strategy on Digital Health 2020-2025. The Initiative aims to achieve the following objectives through collaborative efforts: ● Assess and prioritise country needs for sustainable digital health transformation. ● Increase the alignment of country-level digital health resources and unfunded priorities. ● Support the accelerated achievement of the strategic objectives of the Global Strategy on Digital Health 2020-2025. ● Build capacity and converge efforts to encourage local development, maintenance, and adaptation of digital health technologies to continuously changing needs. "The value of a robust government to government conversation"   🎤 The GDHP is present at the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS)+20 Forum High-Level Event 2024. Today's session at the Multistakeholder Dialogue on National Digital Health Transformation explored the intersection between global digital health networks and case studies of governments in digital health transformation and collaboration.   🌍 GIDH: a network of networks The Global Initiative on Digital Health (#GIDH) was kicked off in February 2024 as a World Health Organization Managed Network of organizations, institutions and government technical agencies actively engaged in supporting national digital health transformation. Created as a vehicle to help accelerate the implementation of the Global Strategy on Digital Health, GIDH aims to focus country-level efforts and align resources toward country-led digital health transformation through strengthened collaboration and knowledge exchange.   🔃 How do the GIDH and GDHP relate to each other? Close collaboration between GDHP and GIDH is essential: GDHP can offer unique value as the government-to-government network to GIDH as network-of-networks   We will share more materials from this session soon!
