Germany emerges as a frontrunner in #cleantech production within the #EU, leading in various sectors such as #windpower, #solarenergy, and #heatpumps, according to a recent report by Brussels-based think tank Bruegel. With over 400 #cleantech manufacturing #plants analysed, Germany stands out as a central hub, hosting the highest number of facilities across the continent. Notably, Germany leads in #solar and #wind technologies, with substantial manufacturing facilities in both sectors. Despite #cleantech data fragmentation, Bruegel's European Clean Tech Tracker aims to provide comprehensive insights into the evolving landscape. This initiative coincides with the EU's heightened focus on bolstering the #greentech industry, exemplified by the recent provisional agreement on the #NetZero Industry Act.
