Hutchinson employees reach for the moon - literally! 🌕   A few months ago, I had the chance to design an international sports project: the Hutchinson Olympic Challenges. The aim was to create an international dynamic within and between countries, strengthen cohesion around sport, and ensure the well-being of our employees.   We’re now more than halfway through the challenge, and I’m proud to present these impressive figures: 222,477 km (that’s more than 5 tours around the world!), over 1,500 employees involved, and 20 countries taking part in the challenge 🌍💪   This project is proof that with a good dose of creativity and teamwork, you can achieve initiatives that inspire people and bring them together.   🔎 A quick look behind the scenes: I managed every single phase of this project. That means: - The concept - Graphic design - The logistics - International project coordination - Communications coordination in all the group’s languages - Launch of an internal online store for sporting goods Implementing such a large initiative was a great experience. I couldn’t be more proud to see Hutchinson employees bring the project to life. A huge thank you to all the local support teams who helped spread the word about the challenge, and to all the participants for their energy.   📍 Next stop: How about completing the Earth-Moon distance, guys? Ewing x 2 My nephew, Isaac Ewing, returns on Friday for his 2nd Summer with ABSTRACT Commercial Real Estate. I couldn't be more excited...and on several levels! Here's a few: ✅Positive Attitude - that's a full sentence there! ✅ Dependable - I know he'll be there when promised and on-time ✅"Yes" Energy - he's open to new ideas, projects, meeting tenants to developers, etc. ✅Trust - It takes years to create/nurture relationships, generate the deal experience/niche knowledge, the systems that create the bedrock, etc. He understands what's confidential to the firm. ✅EQ - Despite being 17, he has terrific reasoning skills and doesn't "react;" rather, he chooses how to best move forward. ✅Goal-Oriented - He's a distance runner and can see the end goal 🎯 and create the steps in between to arrive at a winning finish. Taking a moment out to share a proud moment, a couple weeks ago, he competed in the 2024 Adidas Track Nationals competition in North Carolina. 📣 This week, we unveiled a new component of our Fair Labor Accreditation process: Milestone 5 Post-Accreditation Reports In order to achieve Accreditation, our #FairLaborMember companies go through a rigorous, multi-year process that evaluates a company’s systems to improve labor conditions in its Tier One and owned manufacturers based on five milestones. Each milestone represents key building blocks of an effective social compliance program. Once they reach Accreditation, the work doesn’t end — our members receive ongoing due diligence and have annual Milestone 5 evaluations and factory assessments. Now, for the first time, FLA is reporting on these post-accreditation activities, giving companies an opportunity to highlight their overall performance against a set of key performance indicators for each of the 10 FLA Principles. The Post-Accreditation evaluation system focus on three Principles a year over the course of a three-year cycle. Special thanks to adidas, Burton Snowboards, Colosseum Athletics, Fenix Outdoor, HUGO BOSS, Patagonia, and PUMA Group for piloting this new type of reporting with us. When it comes to team sports, if you are not all unified as a team, you will probably not perform well as a team. This can lead to losing games, frustrations on and off the field, and not giving it your all, and it could lead to hating the sport overall. However, by prioritizing creating genuine relationships with your teammates, showing respect and trust towards your coaches (even during disagreements), and organizing purposeful team bonding activities, you can witness a transformation in the team's dynamics, leading to more vital team chemistry. The more team chemistry a team cultivates off the field, the more they will excel together on the field. I only thought this was possible with sports and didn't believe this could be true in the workforce until my colleagues at EideCom proved me wrong. We have implemented weekly meetings, monthly team lunches, and social events outside of work to prioritize each other. By bonding on a personal level, we've created a positive team-player atmosphere. This allows us to be more unified and come together as a team to execute our skills effectively on event sites, giving our partners the most fantastic experience from a production crew! Today marks my one year anniversary at Placer.ai. 365 days in the blink of an eye! Reflecting on the past year fills me with gratitude not only for what we've accomplished but for the incredible milestones ahead. I "found" this industry over ten years ago with a little bit of luck and almost by mistake. At the time, I was buying media for a brand and was perplexed by a problem: our mobile advertising didn't convert. But why? I set out on a path to find a company that could help solve that problem, and it unlocked a series of events that has turned location analytics into my career path. Since then, I've had the honor of working with some of the world's largest brands and organizations to uncover use cases far beyond media. It has been 10 years full of learning, asking questions, and creatively solving for big, real world problems in retail, commercial real estate, marketing, strategy, tourism, financial services, and more. A decade in, I find myself more excited than ever. I am proud to work for the market leader in location analytics and look forward to many years of growth and success to come.
