The EU’s “additionality” rules for green hydrogen are a critical step for clean energy and climate goals. Anna Lorant, our Senior Policy Manager, explained to Börsen-Zeitung that hydrogen producers must use new renewable energy plants, ensuring green hydrogen drives real progress. 🌍⚡ By 2030, stricter rules will require real-time alignment between hydrogen production and renewable energy. 🌍 Today we celebrate the International Day of Clean Energy! A just and inclusive energy transition plays a crucial role in our collective battle against climate change and our commitment to achieving sustainable development. Clean energy isn't just about reducing our carbon footprint; it's about building resilient, locally empowered communities.  Given the occasion, we would like to draw attention to the risks and challenges of importing hydrogen to Europe.
