✨ Investing in Our Team’s Wellbeing ✨ We’re committed to creating a positive and supportive work environment at EXPEDITE. That's why we've recently held a "Wellbeing for Managers" training session. This session focused on practical strategies for managing stress, boosting morale, and fostering strong team relationships. One way we have been encouraging our team to reduce stress and anxiety is to get active. We have a Strava group to record what we are up to, whether that's getting out for a short walk, yoga class or the Team Padel session. It's been a great way for the wider team to connect and create a competitive spirit! We also have #MentalHealthFirstAiders on our team who are professionally trained to open conversations and signpost those in need. They keep an eye on us all and offer support in a confidential and practical manner. The festive season is not always an easy time of year, so let's prioritise mental health together. I highly recommend the Wellbeing for Managers training to anyone looking to better support their teams. It was an invaluable experience—each of us left feeling not only supported ourselves but also equipped with practical tools to create a healthier, more resilient work environment. As we approach the holiday season, it's a reminder that while Christmas is a time for relaxation and enjoyment, it can also bring its own challenges. Let’s prioritise wellbeing and be mindful of the support we offer to both ourselves and our teams during this time. #Wellbeing #ManagerTraining #TeamSupport #MentalHealth #Leadership

It's important to recognize the value of taking breaks and unplugging from work to prevent burnout. Giving ourselves time to recharge not only improves our mental health but also boosts productivity. 🔋💼🧠 I’m looking forward to switching off and spending the next couple of weeks with family celebrating my brothers wedding in Florida. 🤵♂️👰☀️ This will help me recharge and be fighting fit for a busy period up to Xmas! 🎅🎄 #wellbeing #worklifebalance #outofoffice

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week. And the focus this year is movement - finding the moments to move more and improve our wellbeing. It's no secret that exercise is good for you. But not just physically - it has a huge positive impact on your mental wellbeing too, helping reduce anxiety and depression. At Mexa, we're a big advocate for moving more. It's why we have a walking treadmill, sit/stand desks and the Thursday Mexa-cise club (an extended lunch for the team to use for exercise). With WFH/Hybrid working it can be harder to find time or the motivation to move. But here are a few things you can do to move more: 💚 Create a "commute" - go for a short walk round the block instead of the time you'd usually travel if working from home. 💚 Park a bit further away - seems simple, but making yourself walk that extra 5 mins is a great way to get the steps in. 💚 Schedule breaks away from your desk - not only is it good to stop the brain from overloading, but you can take those short moments to have a short wander. 💚 Try joining exercise clubs - Parkrun is a fantastic free way to move for. And it has the community vibe, so it's accessible for anyone. Remember: you're not alone. If you struggle with your mental health, get in touch with organisations like those below, who will provide you with the support you need: Samaritans Mind Shout UK #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek #MoveYourWay #MomentsForMovement

"Wellbeing not Burnout" May is mental health awareness month. We have many activities planned, but before it even begins we want to start talking openly about mental health, as it’s something we need to be aware of in each and every moment. At The Agency Adventure one of our core pillars is ‘Wellbeing not burnout’. Within the agency world there seems to be some sort of right of passage that as an agency owner you need to push yourself to the limit to achieve your goals in the fastest way possible. I would even go so far as to say that in some quarters burnout is seen as a badge of honour. This is unacceptable and this attitude needs to change. I have written an extended blog post on the Agency Adventure website - see if this resonates with you - link in the comments. 🤝 This is the exact reason why The Agency Adventure have teamed up with Reconnect Weekends, to provide the opportunity to drastically improve your mental wellbeing. Reconnect Weekends offer ongoing support and weekends away for agency founders and business owners who need to quieten their minds from the daily noise, pressure and challenges they are facing both personally and in business, to enable space for new insights and perspectives. A quiet mind can help you to: ● Make clearer decisions that are free from emotional overwhelm ● Look proactively at your business and time ● Be more productive, stress free and intentional It’s so common for us as Founders not to give ourselves the time, but we must do this, and it needn’t be complicated or something we feel bad about. Our well-being is vital if we want to be successful. ✊ I challenge you to start your mental wellbeing journey today. The next Reconnect weekend is June 7th - 10th. Let me know (DM me) if you want to find out more and I will send you the Reconnect Weekends brochure. In addition, if you’d like to find out more about the Reconnect concept, Emma and the team are hosting free weekly online drop-in/q&a sessions every Friday at 11am. Link below in comments. Let’s come together to ensure mental health is something we’re always aware of, not just one month in the year. #mentalwellbeing #agency #agencyowner #agencyleader #burnout #burnoutnomore

This #AfternoonTeaWeek, let's raise our teacups to the simple act of taking a tea break. ☕ Research by BRITA Group - conducted amongst 1,000 tea drinkers - found that two-thirds (64%) believe that taking time to have a cup of tea has a positive effect on their mental health, saying it helps them to feel relaxed. As well as being good for our mental health, their research also found that a tea break can increase our productivity, with almost half (41%) agreeing that they are able to concentrate more on their work after a cup of tea. 🍃 A well-deserved tea break can help us to step away from work, boost our clarity and reduce stress. Whether enjoyed alone or with a friend, it fosters social connections that are crucial for our mental wellbeing. Let’s make tea time a part of our daily wellness routine this week — small breaks with big benefits! ✨ #AfternoonTea #TeaTime #Wellbeing #MentalHealthAtWork

🌟 Embracing Positivity 🌟 We’re heading into the weekend feeling positive and energised after hearing from wellbeing expert and best-selling author, Dr. Andy Cope - AKA Dr Happy - at the CSG ‘Wellinar’ on World Mental Health Day. Andy challenged us to show up in life as our best selves - resilient, creative, optimistic and energetic. Here's what we took away from the talk: 1. Choose an Attitude that Works for You: Make a deliberate, consistent choice to be positive every day by focusing on what you have to be grateful for. 2. Show Up as the Best Version of Yourself: During the first four minutes of every interaction, be present, attentive, positive, and grateful. Ask yourself: How would the best version of myself walk through that door? 3. Be a Catalyst for Positivity: Andy introduced us to the 10:5 principle: “If you’re within 10 feet of someone, make eye contact and smile, and if you’re within five feet, say hi.” A simple way to raise the happiness levels of those around us. A big thank you to Commercial Services Group and Dr Andy Cope for an inspiring session! ✨ #MentalHealth #Wellbeing #PositiveMindset #Gratitude #Happiness #WorldMentalHealthDay #CSGWellinar

Today's #SamariTip for mental wellness: make it a point to set appropriate boundaries. Doing this effectively is increasingly challenging. Constant connectivity, social media pressure, and the fear of missing out make it difficult to disconnect and prioritize personal time. People-pleasing tendencies and blurred work-life boundaries also contribute to the difficulty of setting and maintaining healthy boundaries. But setting good boundaries reduces stress, anxiety, and the sense of being overwhelmed by helping you manage your time and commitments. Boundaries also boost self-esteem by fostering self-respect and confidence. They improve relationships by enhancing communication and enabling more authentic connections. Finally, setting boundaries increases self-awareness, prevents burnout, and promotes self-care. If you need help with this, please don't hesitate to consult a therapist or other mental wellness professional. #samaritancentermv #boundaries #MentalHealth #SelfCare #SelfLove #SelfRespect #StressManagement
