When recruiting in Facilities Management ... less is more. What I mean by that is - when you're in a niche market, quantity of recruiters is a bad thing. If you're hiring, it's very tempting to think that casting a wider net with multiple recruitment agencies will get you the best talent. But - it is sending the wrong signal. Using too many recruiters dilutes the message, elongates the process and can damage candidates’ perception of your business. It's all about fostering relationships, not just filling vacancies. If you work with a select agency that is deeply entrenched in the FM sector, they can provide not just candidates, but the right candidates. By choosing our recruitment partners with care, you're not just filling a position but you're building a partnership with someone who knows your culture. #recruitment #fm #facilitiesmanagement

This is so true! I've been brought in to work on key roles within companies where other agencies have had a half-baked attempt at filling the role (because it's not exclusive they've not invested the proper time and commitment) - failed, and by the time you go to engage with suitable candidates they've already seen the role around and advertised by all and sundry and they say 'oh THAT role has still not been filled?' and already it makes it very unappealing to people, they think something must be wrong with the job/company. Exclusivity is the way to go for sure - and if this idea scares you that you're not going to get the right candidates then you're working with the wrong agency.
