When there is a conference aiming to join #academic and #industrial efforts to find, improve, and develop #photonics solutions for global challenges, we will be there. Particularly, Deividas will be giving his input on #femtosecond #laser possibilities. Our FemtoLux 30 offers the most flexible pulse management on the market – different GHz burst modes with the same laser source: long GHz burst mode, short GHz burst mode, MHz, and GHz burst modes. PoD – pulse on demand – enables the laser to fire a pulse only when required, with 20 ns (peak-to-peak) jitter, allowing precise control over the laser’s output and resulting in higher efficiency, accuracy, and quality. The laser can be optimized to deliver pulse energies for practically all micromachining tasks – from high energies of 1 mJ at 10 kHz, to tens of µJ at MHz repetition rate. By employing an optional module, UV and green outputs can also be achieved to process different kinds of materials. The whole system (laser head + power supply) features the smallest footprint on the market. In a nutshell, this means saving energy, time, and other resources, along with high precision, low time consumption, and versatility – all for the benefit of advancing the photonics field. Prof Oleg Mitrofanov’s latest research on terahertz (THz) technology has been featured in Advanced Photonics Research. The paper entitled 'InAs Terahertz Metalens Emitter for Focused Terahertz Beam Generation' presents a pioneering non-linear THz metalens emitter, developed in collaboration with Sandia National Laboratories.
