Co-founder | Partner @ Crewtangle - A Brand Marketing Agency | Chief Creative Officer | Building The Cocktail Culture
This is so true and so need of the hour but every day, new agencies with tiny teams pop up of probably 2 or 3members, ready to undercut prices. Which is used at an advantage by the procurement team. Even the Rate card creates an impact of less customization from the client perspective. Now of course the difference in service and output is clear but it's us as a Founders who need to be confident about our pricing(Ofcourse rationally). Once we recognize this, we'll carve out our niche and gain the power of choice (more than ever before). #Agency #creativeindustry
Everything wrong with the creative agency business can be traced back to the way we price. It’s time we fixed it 🍝. Highlights from Talented.Agency's Gautam Reghunath and P.G. Aditiya's session on stage at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

Brilliant of someone of the industry to take the Bull by its horns. I have been mentioning and doing that of late, working on project fees versus the age old retainers which force an agency to kill their employees by "sharing" them conveniently. At Buzz, I am clear, we don't try and share unless the brand is comfortable with that and if so then should understand and operate in our HUNT framework. It's simple, if you have shared resources, plan your hunt. Someone from the tribe with the right skill will join and get the kill. Having a rate card for ideation is the most absurd thing in advertising and boy will you see it in plenty in network agencies in the name of homogenisation and processes. :) Kudos PG and Gautam for relaying this on a right forum. ICYMI: Cannes may be over, but the Adland is still buzzing with insights and debriefs on the groundbreaking work showcased at the festival this year. Ben Essen has shared some thoughts on how creativity thrives on reimagining the past, featured in his piece for Campaign. He states, "...all the ground-breaking Grand Prix winners contain recognisable fragments of great ideas that have come before." He continues, "A [better] question for any creative review is: "We know this worked before, so how do we twist it for a new context?" This lets us leverage the proven effectiveness of past campaigns while infusing them with contemporary relevance." Read his analysis and explore the trends and winning work that filled the Croisette conversation: https://lnkd.in/ecYZXVfn #CannesLions #Creativity #Adland

Are you looking at Linked In differently since last weekend? Are you looking at everything a little more fearsomely as the drama builds in the US and around the world? Are you nicely, instead, continuing to just get on where you are, in your flow? You're on to something if you're in creative flow state, but in politically troubling times, with social trends continuing to spice up like the climate numbers you're also trying to ignore, I suggest it takes a certain kind of expressive consciousness to choose making stuff over letting stuff be plundered. But how to find the courage? Or know where to start. In my latest Expo I share some thoughts around the informal recording of my interview for Pier Journal's summer edition with the energising Nicola Cartlidge from AUB, Venues & Events manager now holding the keys to the Palace Court Theatre. And you'll hear, as she walks me around the building, it's a lesson in how to hold space together for working up cultural resilience. If you want futures to be excited about more than scared of, this is example of how we do it. Hope over to Substack now to read and listen – this week's Unsee The Future expo: "Fearful times need bold creativity – and holding space together for what that means from each of us." https://lnkd.in/eSnXbVsX #futures #politics #art #theatre #creativity #storytelling #culturalstrategy #sustainability #artschool #resilience #UnseeTheFuture

🎬 The Association of Independent Commercial Producers has outdone themselves with their latest film, portraying Vincent Van Gogh and Frida Kahlo navigating the complex dance of feedback and creative negotiation. The dialogue feels like a direct transcript of those endless email threads, with everyone offering their two cents. "We like it, but can we change everything?" From passive-aggressive diplomacy to focus group insights and influencer input, it's a hilarious glimpse into the world of client feedback. ✨ Aspiring creators, take note: "It's hard to make museum-worthy art. It's even harder to make museum-worthy ads." This video serves as a gentle reminder of the challenges in the creative process. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the film: https://lnkd.in/eCVuzjyq #TheGoodCompany #TGC #MarketingFunFact #VanGogh #FridaKahlo
