In January 2024, key organizations including NITI Aayog, Ministry of Agriculture, UN's FAO, and partners convened to launch the Investment Forum for enhancing climate-resilient agrifood systems in India. The discussion covered six key areas: resilient agriculture, digital solutions, financing, value chains, production practices, and social inclusion. The forum aimed to identify national priorities and policies for funding through global climate finance, domestic budgets, and private sectors, utilizing mechanisms like green bonds and blended finance. NITI Aayog's Ramesh Chand emphasized agriculture's 13% greenhouse gas contribution, advocating for carbon sequestration through tree planting and the need for new metrics assessing economic and environmental impacts on climate change. It is relieving to see that measures are being taken towards looking after the climatic and agricultural health of Bharat. . . #agricultureindia #agriculture #agriindia #indiafood #indiasmartfarming #indiafarming #nipulkeniya #climaticcontrol #digitalsolutions #financingfarming #financingagriculture #valuechains #productionpractises #socialinclusion

One of the greatest challenges facing our continent today is the pervasive issue of hunger and malnutrition. Many people lack access to safe and nutritious food that can meet their dietary needs. However, we believe that the AfCFTA offers a promising solution to this problem. The AfCFTA is an ambitious proposal that aims to create a continent-wide preferential trade arrangement among fifty-five countries with 1.3 billion inhabitants and a combined GDP of US$3.4 trillion. As of May 2023, forty-seven African countries have already ratified the AfCFTA Agreement, which has been in force since May 30, 2019. This presents an excellent opportunity for entrepreneurs to invest directly in agribusiness across different value chains or indirectly through sectors like transport, where they can facilitate the movement of farm produce and machinery, among other things. By doing so, we can not only make food easily accessible around the continent but also raise people's living standards so they can afford to meet their nutritional needs. We are dedicated to supporting agripreneurs across different value chains to access new markets, both regionally and internationally. If you want to learn more about our solutions, please visit our website. www.agrigrowthhub.com Together, we can work towards a brighter future where everyone can access safe and nutritious food. #agribusiness #agrigrowthhub #agrifinancing
