At Boresha Mtaa, we believe that youth empowerment is a crucial agenda that demands active participation from all community stakeholders. The energy, creativity, and resilience of our youth are powerful assets that can drive positive change and sustainable development in Makueni. But why is youth empowerment so vital? Our young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow; they are catalysts for progress today. By investing in education, vocational training, and entrepreneurial opportunities, we enable our youth to become innovators and leaders. This can result in economic growth, improved social welfare, and a more vibrant community. Youth can act as agents of change by initiating community projects, participating in local governance, and driving environmental conservation efforts. Imagine a Makueni where young leaders champion initiatives that address local challenges such as unemployment, education disparity, and climate change. However, we cannot achieve this alone. We need the active participation of every community member. From local businesses offering internships to elders mentoring young entrepreneurs, everyone has a role to play. 👉 Call to Action: Join us in this journey of youth empowerment. Participate in empowerment programs, volunteer your time, or support our initiatives financially. Together, let's build a brighter, more prosperous Makueni. 🌟 #YouthInAction #BMICBO #YouthAdvocacy #youthpower #CommunityEmpowerment #SupportOurYouth #BoreshaMtaa #sustainability #UNEP #PowerOfTogetherness #communitygrowth #InvestInYouth #FutureLeaders #YouthEmpowerment https://lnkd.in/duA8cJBf

Tropic Ambassador, helping people get their best skin ever naturally! One of Jehovah's Witnesses. (I also do dōTERRA essential oils and Utility Warehouse.)
The stories that were told in this interview were just heartbreaking. I don't think there was a dry eye in over 4000 attendees. This is such a worthwhile cause. 65 million children don't have access to basic education. Educated girls are more valuable to the family and therefore aren't given in child marriage. We heard of a 13 year old girl who started attending school - she had to drop her two children off at care while she went. She had her first child at 11 years old and will be encouraged to have as many children as possible. This has to stop. My daughter is 12 and even now I'm tearing up just thinking about it. Millions of girls are taught not to dream. They're held back, disempowered and not given access to school. Tropic have donated 6.8 million days of education since partnering with United World Schools. They have funded 5 years of education for over 7,500 children this year alone. UWS work with the most remote communities, working hand in hand with local communities and government to make sure every child has access to education in that area. Tropic don't ask for extra donations in order to do this, they take it out of their profits in their '10% for the World' initiative. Their 4th school is currently under construction in Madagascar, where coastal communities are suffering. Sealife is depleted and cyclones wash through before there's been time to harvest the crops. 350 children will be enrolled in the new school by the end of the year, leading to better prospects for all in the area. Buying Tropic Skincare isn't just great for your health, with 100% naturally derived, proven effective products. It's not just a "green" option, with organic products, a sustainable, carbon-neutral, renewable energy powered HQ. But it's empowering people the world over, too. Lifting disadvantages communities out of extreme poverty, and giving hope and dreams back to thousands of children. If you'd like to know more, please get in touch or head to https://lnkd.in/erDBd5sF

🌟 Proud Beyond Words! 🌟 Yes, admittedly speaking in front of over 4000 people isn't the most enviable or favourite part of my role, but sharing my pride and ambition with others is. We are so incredibly proud we are of the UWS x Tropic Skincare partnership! 🌍✨ This collaboration is so much more than just a transactional business deal — it’s a shared commitment to purpose, people, and progress. Working closely with Susie Ma over the years, an inspirational female entrepreneur, who leads with her heart as much as head, and with the most passionate and dedicated team at Tropic, a team which prioritises purpose over profit, is truly inspiring. It shows the world that meaningful change can happen when we align our missions and values, transforming charitable partnerships into more than just words on a strategy document. This partnership is proof that ESG and CSR are more than just checkboxes; they can be the lifeblood of a brand’s DNA, embedding impact into everything a business stands for. Together, UWS and Tropic are setting a new standard, demonstrating that partnerships can drive sustainability alongside profit. They can empower communities, and inspire others to see business as a force for good. Here’s to making real, lasting change — and to a partnership that’s shining a light on how much can be achieved when you put purpose at the core. #PurposeOverProfit #CharityPartnership #ESG #Sustainability #ProudToPartner #SDG4 #QualityEducation

🎄”Żeby się porozumieć trzeba SIĘ zrozumieć.”(A.Kozak)🎄 🌹Good people good society🌹 💮”A good society is built upon the foundation of good people who exhibit empathy, kindness, and a sense of responsibility. When individuals prioritize the well-being of others, it creates a harmonious environment where cooperation and mutual support thrive. In such a society, collective progress and societal welfare become shared goals, fostering a positive and inclusive community.” - Abdul Jaabal 🔊Our school community is very diverse. 🔈Indeed, #International mindedness is a natural environment for our students since over 35% of our students are #foreigners. 📚Here, we are proudly presenting the touchy, life-based experience speech on the #RED #DOT of our student Vitaliy that was delivered last October at the Youth Carbon Footprint Summit. 🙌 SUCCESS STORY 🙌 From facing numerous challenges like water logging, overflowing sewers, lack of electricity, boundary walls, playgrounds, and toilets, to becoming a beacon of hope and progress for the children in the slum area. The collaborative efforts of the community members, Mohalla Samiti, local authorities, and various organizations played a crucial role in addressing each of these issues systematically. By raising awareness, submitting applications, and persistent advocacy, they were able to garner support and resources to improve the school's infrastructure. The involvement of media helped shed light on the dire situation, pushing for action and ensuring that the voices of the children and the community were heard. Overcoming challenges such as opposition from certain community members regarding the construction of the boundary wall near the temple required diplomacy and perseverance. Through continuous follow-up and engagement with relevant stakeholders, the transformation of Meera Nagar Naveen Primary School became a reality, aligning with the norms of the Right to Education (RTE) Act and providing a conducive environment for quality education. The success story of Meera Nagar Naveen Primary School serves as a testament to the power of community mobilization, advocacy, and collaboration in creating positive change and ensuring access to education for all children, regardless of their background or circumstances. It's crucial to acknowledge the historical context behind the provision of health and education services to Indigenous communities. Through treaties, Indigenous peoples essentially prepaid for these essential services with their land and lives. However, over the years, these services have dwindled significantly, despite the federal responsibility to honor these agreements. Despite the hardships endured through colonization, including Indian removal, genocide, and relocation, Indigenous nations were recognized as capable of engaging with other nations. Yet, the focus shifted towards elimination and assimilation, often to serve governmental interests. Delve into the historical and contemporary challenges faced by Indigenous communities. Follow us to explore how we can collectively work towards honoring treaty obligations and addressing the needs of Indigenous peoples. Let's honor the resilience and strength of Indigenous communities and advocate for equitable access to healthcare and education. #IndigenousRights
