Hello folks ,I recently appeared in the two interviews held within the same day for internships one for INTEL and the other one for NXP semiconductors and I managed to clear the both , as many people are willing to know about the questions that are asked to me by the panel members , here I'm sharing some of the important areas hope you'll get some benefits through it. ( I'll share the questions into two parts ) PART 1 📝 INTEL : please give your quick introduction, what's your interest area ( I replied Physical Design and STA ) *Explain MOS,CMOS ( I by myself included the fabrication process) *Draw schematic of CMOS ,what will happen if we put nmos in pull-up and pmos in pull-down network *Difference between latch and flop *What if enable is 1 in latch *He shared his screen and draws enable signal for a latch and asked me to draw the sampled output *Do you know what is set-up time? *What is the significance of set-up time and what will happen if it's violated? *Imagine in between two flop there is a combinational circuitry like any 3 input gate with input signals coming with different delays how you'll handle the set-up time now? *You are interested in worst case delay or best case delay? *Ok, draw two flops with some combinational circuitry in between them and add delay in the clock path now give the max possible operational frequency *What if skew is negative it will support hold time? or set-up time? *What is global and local skew ? *Draw Dff using transmission gate and give me setup time and hold time for this *Why hold time is 0 for this Dff can it be negative? *So master is deciding the set-up time and slave is deciding the hold time?(no) *So what slave is deciding then? *Can setup time also be a negtive , what is SLACK? *You might have heard about pessimism what is it? *How you handle pessimism to make slack positive? *You know about CTS(clock tree synthesis) ? *Why Even we do CTS ( H-tree ) *So you want your clock to reach every flop at a same time practically is it possible? what measures we take? *Clock buffers are normal buffers? *Any question for me? ( i asked about his experience and profile domain) *One aptitude question *Best of luck for the next END "the questions totally depends upon the interviewer and interest area, there is no rigid process like for some people they asked questions on verilog and FIFO etc" What can you do? have your basics strong✅, touch almost every topic ✅(at least have some idea),show them you want to work and learn✅, if you know any answer very well just go descriptive explain everything you know take your full time✅✅, nobody is perfect💯 Best of luck 👍 (for Nxp semiconductors will upload part 2 soon) #vlsi #design #semiconductors #work #experience #internship #people #share #verilog #interviews #static analysis #physical design #backend #electronics #chips

Mt. Pleasant High School students were visited by Samsung Semiconductor Inc. earlier this year, made possible in part through a partnership with the Silicon Valley Education Foundation (SVEF) and the Eastside Education Initiative. Samsung Semiconductor Inc. (SSI) is the semiconductor division of Samsung Electronics, one of the world's largest technology companies. The company plays a crucial role in the global semiconductor industry, supplying components to a wide range of electronic devices, including smartphones, tablets, computers, televisions, and other consumer electronics. At the event, students had the opportunity to hear from a range of employees at SSI to understand the career possibilities and network with professionals from different departments, including engineering, marketing, and HR, at the Mentorship Fair. The event had two parts: 1) a career panel developed specifically for all 9th-grade students and a 2) a mentorship fair open to 9th to 12th-grade students. Ria Tyagi, a student at Mt. Pleasant High School learned from the experience sharing, “I learned that every experience and every career pathway is so different. We can see some people started off and knew where they wanted to go vs. some had some different pathways to where they are today. And I think that was very powerful for our audience to hear. To just know that there is not just one way to succeed.” Many thanks for the great opportunity for our community partners in supporting student's growth and success. https://lnkd.in/gz9RkcdQ
