Who are a team? Collaborating with a group of people to achieve a specific goal involves "jointly working together with others towards a shared objective." A team comprises people who: Share a Common Objective: They are united by a specific goal or mission that they strive to achieve collectively. Bring Diverse Skills: Each member contributes unique abilities, experiences, and knowledge, which enhances the team's overall capability. Engage in Collaborative Efforts: They work together, coordinate their activities, and support one another to fulfil their shared purpose. Communicate Effectively: Good teams maintain open lines of communication, ensuring everyone is informed and involved in decision-making processes. Trust and Respect Each Other: Members rely on one another’s strengths and show mutual respect, fostering a positive and productive working environment. Contribute to a Collective Success: The success of a team is measured by the achievement of their common goals and the effectiveness of their collaboration. In short, "Teamwork transforms individual sparks into a blazing fire of collective strength, lighting up paths to extraordinary goals." #Teamwork #teamsuccess #teamworkwins #goals #groupsuccess #teamspirit #EvCargo #allportcargoservices #freightforwarders

Co-Founder & Managing Director The Bridge International, Chair CXO2 and President Claims Bridge International
The Bridge International team recently gathered in the Blue Mountains to reflect on our journey so far and plan for the future. With the theme "The Bridge to Growth," our bold aspiration is to become the leading and most trusted boutique consultancy in Australia. We're thrilled to have brought together our senior team from all over the country to build this plan together and have some fun in such a beautiful location. It was satisfying to apply our strategic frameworks to our own business, given how effective it is for our clients. We reviewed our business applying our Bridge Triple Play: Culture, Customer, and Commercial (in that order!). Our four strategic priorities are Building a High-Performance Culture, Excellence in Client Delivery, Commercial with Heart, and Strategic Growth. We're proud of our seven-year journey so far, the learnings, the leaders we have worked with and team culture we have built. It was great to take time out to reflect on our clients and partners that have enabled us to thrive. Everyone left the offsite feeling that our aspiration is possible with our great team and supportive customers. Exciting times ahead! #TheBridgeToIntegrity #TeamBuilding #BusinessStrategy #AustralianConsultancy David McDonald Sara Elmstrom Stuart Brown Benjamin Coleman Lewis Pullen Holly Jonas David Vincent Maria De Fina Stavrinides Chloé James David Russell Peter Hughes John Stewart Simpson Mitisha Paleja Lachlan Blake Hayden Blaskett Danny Camerotto Graeme Browne Brendan Gale Matt Pugliese Nick Le Fevre Ian Edgell Paul Thatcher Sara King

🧑🤝🧑 Shared values for better teamwork 🧑🤝🧑 "Teamwork makes the dream work," goes the saying. But what does it take to become a team that does not only work but also dreams together? The answer is simple, but hard to achieve: In a functioning, harmonious team, the members need to know each other, understand each other, and share the same values. Working towards exactly this, our entire COO team gathered for another exciting offsite event last week. In the first workshop, Annette Bauer introduced the topic of emotional competence and how it serves as a tool for leading oneself and others. In the second workshop, the team worked out shared values for internal cooperation and the COO department. But this offsite event wouldn’t achieve its goal if it were only about huddling together in a meeting room. The team also hiked several kilometres to get to a restaurant and – of course – enjoy good food afterward 😉 🗨️ What are the most important values for your teamwork? Maybe Heinrich Fritzlar Petra Kuhlmann Dirk Stadtmüller Sascha Hotz Marcel Stumpf Andrea Will Oliver Braun Sascha Merczak Marco Ropertz Carsten Stephan and colleagues can tell what matters most to them. 📸 Credits: OVB Holding AG #mindsetchange #modernworkplace #myovb

Remaining calm and focused is crucial when faced with tight deadlines in IT operations. We should assess the situation, prioritise tasks, identify the bottleneck, and evaluate our existing team. Encourage teamwork and cooperation to optimize efficiency. allocate specific time slots for different tasks to maintain focus. Monitor time usage to identify areas where we can improve efficiency. Keep the team, management, and clients informed about the situation and potential delays.

Managing International Teams can be a fascinating adventure or a terrible challenge that keeps you up at night. We often assume that cultures that seem alike by the superficial aspects such as speaking the same language and behaving alike in some contexts do not experience any cultural differences. They do! The study shows that the rates of failure are higher between US and UK than between US and China! Japanese “bright eyes” say that people might want to ask questions which in most cultures is indicated by raising a hand. Recognizing “Bright eyes” however can be a riddle for non-Japanese cultures. Those who are by one nation perceived as “disorganized, chaotic and changing subjects in the middle of the meeting” can be perceived reverse as “rigid, inadaptable, unwilling to adapt". The former refers to how the English perceive the French and the latter says how people from India perceive the same nation – the French. Thus, it is important not only to know the cultural differences but to learn how to adapt to the contexts, workplaces, environments we live and work in. Learning a perspective of the local community might be a key to become finally successful not only as a manager but also or above all as a person in general. Fascinating stories of Erin Meyer about cultural differences in business help understanding fundamental aspects of international teams management and what makes it successful. https://lnkd.in/dfh7Wc_E

Multicultural teams are more effective than monocultural teams when managed appropriately. The management effort is more intensive and the team building process takes longer as everyone has a different idea of normality and common sense, processes need to be defined more precisely. How do multicultural aircraft crews, which are put together on a daily basis, deal with this challenge? The processes are clearly and precisely defined down to the last detail in checklists.
