To keep global temperatures within the critical 1.5°C limit, the world must triple its renewable energy capacity by 2030. Achieving this goal requires a massive shift- ramping up investments to $2 trillion annually. This funding is essential for scaling up renewable energy projects like offshore wind farms and hydrogen-capable plants, alongside much-needed upgrades to grid and storage infrastructure to support the growing demand. EnBW is an excellent example of this massive global effort, and they have already contributed significantly by investing €2.5 billion in just the first half of 2024. 90% of these funds are directed towards ecologically sustainable projects like offshore wind and hydrogen-capable plants. EnBW's commitment is just one of many examples of how solutions are rapidly being developed and deployed to accelerate the energy transition. From offshore wind farms to cutting-edge energy storage technologies, innovative solutions are expanding our renewable capacity and making clean energy more reliable and accessible than ever before. This got me thinking- how can we accelerate the scale of investment required to achieve a 1.5°C aligned energy transition by 2030? #EnergyTransition #Sustainability #RenewableEnergy #Innovation EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG

Last week Energix - Renewable Energies presented a case study about Bioseco Bird Protection System in their annual ESG report (https://lnkd.in/dqZxbCwn). After more than 2 years of operation of BPS in numerous wind turbines at Energix - Renewable Energies wind farms we are happy that our technology proved to be efficient method of preventing bird mortality and even more that our Clients are proudly presenting it as part of their ESG initiatives. Bird protection is most important factor of our work, but receiving such a great recommendation from a Client publicly is always a great honour. #windenergy #birdprotection #cooperation #ESG #casestudy Energix - Renewable Energies WindEurope Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) The Polish Wind Energy Association South African Wind Energy Association (SAWEA) France renouvelables AEE Asociación Empresarial Eólica Bundesverband WindEnergie e.V.

To produce the e-fuels that energy-intensive industries and long-distance transportation rely on to decarbonize, we need renewable energy. That’s why building out renewable energy capacity is crucial to successfully transform our energy systems. Topsoe is among the 100 companies and organizations that have signed Global Renewables Alliance's call for transformative Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). We urge world leaders to set ambitious, specific and actionable renewable energy targets in their updated national climate plans to the United Nations. To keep 1.5C within reach, the energy transition must progress much faster, and commitments must be translated into tangible actions in the next round of NDCs. Now, deliver change: https://bit.ly/47EX03q #LetsDecarbonize #NowDeliverChange
