Congratulations to Becky Athey on receiving the Hometown Hero Award at the 2023 MACademy Awards! Becky earned this award for saving the life of her friend and Colleague, Beth, as she arrived for her night shift. As the pair walked in for their shift, Beth collapsed and became unresponsive. Becky immediately called for help and performed CPR until the code team arrived. Her quick thinking, clinical knowledge and skills helped save her friend's life. Congratulations, Becky, on this well-deserved award! #CommunityHealthcare

Well done everyone. Collaboration at its best xx
Last week, members of our Transformation team, along with colleagues from the Welwyn Garden City contact centre, welcomed DoS (Directory of Services) leads from national, regional and local bodies, as well as a representative of NHS England, to look at how our organisation utilises the NHS’s electronic DoS system. The visitors were keen to learn more about how NHS 111 providers interact with the DoS and what is done to promote its utilisation, while they also sought user feedback and discussed future updates. In addition, they were keen to understand what systems are in place to support home-working colleagues. Anna Clark, East of England Regional Directory of Services (DoS) Lead shared some kind words with us after her vist, which you can read more about here:https://lnkd.in/dUwMAfzR "It was an absolute delight to come and spend time within HUC. We cannot emphasis enough how great it is to continue working with you, and how much we value our relationship," she says. A huge thank you to everyone involved!

Talk about a professional, national platform for CNOs from PTE-designated organizations. What a way to invest in daily practice and fill (or unfill) one’s cup.
Joyful afternoon spent with these #ANCCPathway rockstars. We typically schedule Coffee and Conversation with Christine to give CNOs a platform to discuss challenges. Our intent is to offer support but just like the other sessions we’ve had in the past, I’m the one walking away from the meeting feeling lighter and with such a full heart. Thank you all for refilling my cup today. And huge kudos to Wendy Rodriguez-Acebedo and Fiona Dziopa for joining us at 3a (Philippines) and 5a (Australia). Maricon Dans, MSN, RN, NE-BC and Patience Harris, thanks for always being the best partners. I greatly appreciate you helping with the discussions. Crystal F. 🗣️ Earlier this year, ImROC issued a call for a National Strategy for Peer Support. 🗣️ ▪️Over the last 10 years ImROC has worked alongside organisations to introduce Peer Support and provided ongoing support and development to highlight the significance of Peer Support and maintain the integrity of the roles. 🔸Peer Support has gained huge traction and is about to spring board into a new era of paving the paths of how we support people accessing services whether that is through the NHS, Voluntary, Community or Social Enterprise Organisations. ▪️ With this in mind, we want to unpack our learnings from our Peer Support Journey over the last 10 years and the action we are taking to launch us into the next era. 🔸Our next few posts will identify key milestones, challenges to respond to and how we are going to embrace the next 10 years of Peer Support with the announcement of a UK First Event 👀
