While this dedicated week provides a valuable opportunity for focused learning and reflection, true reconciliation is a lifelong journey. We acknowledge the strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people. We recognise the challenges they face and their enduring connection to culture and community. ARACY stands firm in its commitment to working alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers and communities to improve the lives and wellbeing of all children and young people in Australia. Here at ARACY, reconciliation is more than just a word. It's embedded in our principles: ➡ Respect: We value and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledges, perspectives, and lived experiences. ➡ Relationships: We build strong and trusting relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers and communities. ➡ Self-determination: We support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to determine their own research priorities and solutions. ➡ Equity: We work towards a future where all children and young people have equal opportunities to thrive.
