Leader dedicated to cultivating high-performing teams with a strong focus on the development of individuals to drive successful outcomes.
Comment below! 👇 What was one of your biggest achievements in your professional career? I’ll start…… When I first joined Konecranes, my team felt like it was us against the world. I was faced with a few statements that I was determined to prove wrong. 1. "You'll have pretty high turnover with this group; you'll be lucky to last a year as well." 2. "This area never gets over $X amount a year in revenue." 3. "This group never takes part in the annual Christmas dinner. Maybe 2-3 techs will show up, but that's it." After my first 2 years, we only had 1 person leave, and that was because they were moving to another state. In the first 3 years, we increased our revenue by 21-35% and never fell below the initial threshold that we were told we would never exceed. But the greatest accomplishment I believe I achieved was our first Christmas party after my first full year. Every single tech we had and their families showed up to our dinner, Over 25 individuals! Through servant leadership, deliberate actions to take care of my people, sticking my neck out for them when they might not have deserved it, and a strong will to see them succeed, I fostered an environment where they felt cared for and appreciated. To me, that's worth more than revenue. That’s my greatest achievement.

As we continue to celebrate our 25th Anniversary and the milestones we have achieved, our focus naturally turns to the future. We are filled with excitement as we consider the strengths and opportunities that lie ahead of our staff. Our greatest assets are our employees - a group of talented individuals who have contributed to our success and will continue to play a crucial role in shaping our future. We connected with Keegan Bunt about how he feels about the future of the firm. *What do you see in the future for your professional growth here? "Endless knowledge. With how the firm is structured I can work on a new type of project almost daily, with that I am constantly learning new things." *What has been the most valuable lesson you have learned so far? "Work doesn’t have to be something you endure or dread. With the right environment and people it can be the highlight of your day."

CEO & Founder Silver Talkies | Co-Author of Rethink Ageing (Penguin India) | Winner of Visa Inc's She's Next grant | Goldman Sachs 10K program NSRCEL IIM Bangalore
Some dates are always special such as today, the date when we launched Silver Talkies Club six years ago in 2018, based on the inputs from attendees of our events. They wanted to meet more often, know their co-participants better and have more fun and engaging opportunities. Hence Silver Talkies Club was born in a time and age when active ageing, loneliness and isolation among older adults were not spoken about or discussed much in our country. I was in fact told by many peers that I was playing in a small niche field. Fast forward to 2024, almost every new player in the senior care space is looking at addressing similar issues with similar models. Did we start too early or did they start too late? I think it is immaterial for as they say that all's well that ends well. What is most heartening for me is to note that in the pic below all the people who became members in 2018 are still members in 2024, with the exception of one member whom we lost a few months ago. Six years of relationship still doing strong! So we must be doing something right:) Cheers to healthy ageing! #olderadults #activeageing #seniorcare #healthyageing #anniversary
Six incredible years have flown by, and today we're celebrating a remarkable milestone - Happy 6th Anniversary to the Silver Talkies Family! A heartfelt shoutout to each and every one of our amazing members who've been with us since day one, your support and enthusiasm have been the driving force behind our journey. While we celebrate our triumphs, we also remember our dear friend and pioneer member, Arun Bhatia, whose spirit continues to inspire us every day. And a special mention to Akila Krishnakumar, our beacon of wisdom and guidance, thank you for being our mentor and advisor throughout this incredible journey. Here's to many more years of laughter, learning, and cherished memories together!

As I approach my one-year anniversary at NewGen IT Technologies Pvt Ltd, formerly VCARE InfoTech Solutions and Services Pvt Ltd, I find myself reflecting deeply. It’s disheartening to see some former colleagues, who were once part of our company, now spreading unfounded rumors after leaving a few months ago. They should recognize that our company provided them ample opportunities for growth, both monetarily and in terms of promotion, opportunities they did not receive in their previous workplaces. There's a saying that resonates deeply with this situation: "People often criticize what they once cherished." It’s clear to me now why this occurs, but it prompts me to question: What do they gain by damaging their own integrity? They left the company under the influence of a former employee who was dismissed by management for poor performance, unethical behavior, and causing significant financial losses to the company. So why propagate such false feedback about a company that once belonged to them as well? Their behavior is truly questionable. If there are genuine concerns, why resort to hiding behind fake identities (including the company's name and their own) to voice them? Valid grievances deserve transparent discussion. Instead of diminishing their credibility, they should pinpoint where improvements are needed and seek resolution openly. Leaving a company should signify personal growth and encourage the same for others. Let’s foster constructive dialogue and leave groundless accusations behind.

Beyond the years of Service We often pat ourselves on the back for sticking around a place for a long time. "Look at me, ten years here!" we boast. But let's be real: it's not just about the number of years you've clocked in. It's about what you've done with that time. Think of your career like a garden. Sure, you can brag about how long you've tended it, but the real beauty lies in the flowers you've grown, the challenges you've overcome, and the lessons you've learned along the way. Those are the things that truly matter. Every day at work is a chance to learn something new. You've probably faced some big challenges, celebrated some huge wins, and worked with all sorts of amazing people. That's the stuff that makes you who you are professionally. So, next time you're thinking about your work anniversary, don't just count the years. Take a moment to appreciate the incredible journey you've been on. And remember, the best way to celebrate is to share your knowledge and experiences with others. You never know who you might inspire. What do you think? Have you ever felt like your career was more about the journey than the destination? pls write to me your thoughts
