🌈 It's #Pride Month: let's highlight the importance of inclusion and diversity measures! Beyond words or principles, we implement concrete measures to ensure the maintenance and development of initiatives that promote the inclusion and fulfillment of our staff. 💚
1. 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 🤝
We rely on increased training aimed at identifying and eliminating judgments and biases – both conscious and unconscious – to ensure an impartial recruitment process. We also firmly believe in the importance of giving a second chance to individuals who facing difficulties, both present and past.
2. 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 📚
Informing, raising awareness, and fostering the personal and professional development of our employees are essential actions for mobilization and continued growth. We have established a comprehensive training program that covers various topics: EDI issues, sustainable development, healthy communication, and emotional intelligence.
3. 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝘀 📜
The importance of transparency and social responsibility has been enhanced by the unilateral adoption of our code of ethics. Signed by all employees, this document promotes both ethical and sustainable business practices, aiming to create long-term value for all our stakeholders.
4. 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝘀 ⚖️
As a certified Women-Owned company, we take pride in our ability to maintain parity ratios above the average. In 2023, our overall parity ratio was 57%. For the plant alone, this ratio was 35%, while the average for female employees in the Quebec manufacturing sector is 29.6%.
5. 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 💰
We annually review our salary scales to ensure equity between positions. Our wage gap between the lowest and highest salaries is 5, an exceptional ratio by B Corp standards, which we aspire to maintain. We rely on a third party to assist us with an in-depth analysis that can confirm or adjust the accuracy of our salary policy. Finally, we are working to make our organization's salary scales more transparent.
6. 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🎓
We adjust the schedules of our employees pursuing higher education while maintaining their benefits and invest a significant training budget to help them cover the cost of tuition.
7. 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿-𝗻𝗲𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵) ✍️
To ensure communications reflect our commitment to inclusion, we have implemented a French inclusive and gender-neutral writing charter. A training session on this topic will soon be provided to employees to raise awareness of the importance of adopting inclusive verbal and written communication practices.
