🌟 Had an incredible time at the Women's Leadership and Policy Summit today ! Among the many highlights, meeting Tianna Madison, the remarkable track and field superstar, stood out. 🏃♀️🥇  From sharing her Olympic journey to her personal anecdotes, Tianna exuded grace, humility and authenticity. In my coaching and leadership development work with leaders, I often hear about the struggle of talking about achievements and skills in a professional manner to show your value and contributions in the workplace. #selfpromotion This challenge can be particularly daunting for women and people of certain cultures. I grew up learning that you let your hard work do the talking (and you don't). I had to unlearn that in my Corporate career. So, what to do ? 📖 Tell a Story, Not a List: Share your achievements as part of a narrative that illustrates your journey and the value you bring, rather than just reciting a laundry list of accomplishments. 🌱 Plant Seeds, Let Them Blossom: Modestly share your successes, letting others recognize and appreciate your value over time, much like planting seeds in a garden that gradually grow into something remarkable. 🤝 Connect, Don't Tower Above: Focus on building connections with others rather than emphasizing your own importance. Empowered and Inspired at the Bright Network Women in Leadership Event 💼💡 I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Women in Leadership event hosted by Bright Network where I met some amazing people and got the chance to network with employers such as PwC, Haleon, Deloitte, KPMG, S&P Global, Amberjack Global, Berenberg and more! 👩💻 🤝 From engaging keynote speakers to insightful panel discussions, the event brought together various inspiring women leaders who shared their career journeys, challenges and strategies for overcoming obstacles in the workplace. Their stories of resilience, growth, and leadership were not only empowering but also a powerful reminder of the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace. 🌟 A few key takeaways that resonated with me: 1. The Power of Authenticity: Embrace yourself fully and stay true to who you are throughout your professional journey, building meaningful relationships. 2. I had the privilege of attending the Pavilion Women’s Summit this week, representing Recorded Future as SVP of Sales, Americas. It was a powerful experience to connect with fellow women in go-to-market leadership and exchange insights on driving impactful business outcomes. My goals were clear: learn the latest GTM strategies, meet other amazing women leaders, and refine my leadership approach to better serve clients and help my organization accel. Some key takeaways: - We haven’t made much progress on the women in sales stats. A staggering 72% of GTM practitioners shared that their organizations are predominantly men, creating what many described as a "bro culture." This stat reinforces the importance of fostering diversity and inclusive leadership. - Kim Scott’s session on Radical Respect offered clear and actionable tactics for ensuring that respect and open communication permeate every corner of an organization.  Already reading her new book! - The financial fluency workshop with Michaela Lehr was a great reminder of the need for a strong grasp of key business metrics. Knowing how Lifetime Value (LTV) and SaaS Net Retention impact profitability is crucial for making informed, data-driven decisions. - An inspiring story from Cassie Young, a General Partner, who underscored the importance of working on the business, not just in it.  And emphasizing working your “First Team” to enable collaboration and alignment.
