Ovation In-Store wishes you all a happy International Women's Day. We are investing in promoting gender equality in the workplace and highlighting the contributions of women in the cosmetics and beauty industry, including founders, CEOs, and consumers. Promoting greater equality for women in the workplace not only serves as a moral imperative but also brings numerous benefits to businesses. Research shows that companies with gender diversity in leadership positions perform better financially, are more innovative, and have higher employee satisfaction rates. We'd like to highlight a few United Nations Global Compact Women's Empowerment Initiatives that we've adopted at Ovation In-Store. - Establishing high-level corporate leadership for gender equality. - Treating women and men equally - without discrimination in the workplace, upholding human rights, and supporting diversity. - Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all women and men workers. - Promoting education, training, and professional development for women. - Implementing enterprise development, supply chain, and marketing practices that empower women. - Promoting equality through community initiatives and advocacy. - Measuring and publicly reporting on progress to achieve gender equality. With this post, we aim to encourage and inspire other organizations to take similar action towards promoting gender equality in their workplace. #IWD2024 #InternationalWomensDay #WomensHistoryMonth #WomensEmpowerment #SustainableDesign #InclusiveDesign #WeBuildBrands

Women in leadership is more than fairness and equity; evidence shows there are social, business and wider economic benefits with equal female representation in senior leadership positions. While there are more women in leadership roles now than ever before, more need to follow. A report by the Department of the Premier & Cabinet noted only 20% of Australian industries have gender-balanced workforces. If women’s participation were equal to men, Australia’s GDP would increase by more than $30 billion by 2050 and create more than 1 million full-time jobs. At IKEA, we see the benefits of diversity and inclusion for better business. Together, we can transform attitudes, behaviours and structures to create gender equality and unleash women in leadership. #InternationalWomensDay2024 #IWD2024 #genderequality
This International Women's Day, we are shining a light on women’s inequality in the workplace and how we are working to remove barriers to unleash women in leadership at IKEA Australia. This morning we hosted a co-worker discussion panel at our IKEA Richmond store with our inspiring women leaders: Mirja Viinanen, Patricia Routledge (she / her / hers), Renea Robson, Jennifer Jones, Roola McCoy and Catherine Kiong. Gender equality has been part of our business plans at IKEA Australia for over a decade. We discussed our progressive and industry-leading policies which you can find out more about here https://lnkd.in/eX4EUQ43, many of which are focused on creating gender equity – supporting women and people with caring responsibilities to develop professionally, take on exciting new roles and responsibilities, and achieve their dreams for a successful career in retail. While we’re proud of this work, we know there is still much to be done to improve gender equality in the workplace. We know that by starting serious conversations with co-workers we will lift engagement, improve productivity, enhance customer satisfaction and help grow our business. #InternationalWomensDay2024 #IWD2024 #genderequality

In an industry as traditional as construction, we take pride in our team composition — we have both women and men equally represented both in our workforce and management. 🌟 Our Sustainability report shows that women are making up to 56% of our workforce, 60% of our leadership team, and 50% of our board. This balance fosters a company culture which has a rich diversity of thought and approaches to problem-solving and innovation. Gender equality is not self-evident even in the Nordic countries where Vieser is active. Corporate responsibility programs have an import role in building more inclusive work cultures. But no program can change attitudes, leadership is needed. Leaders have a genuine opportunity to shape the diverse mix of talents within their organizations. Hence a heartfelt thank you goes out to our CEO, Annika Jyllilä-Vertigans, for this inclusive culture. Her vision and relentless pursuit of finding the best talents open-minded have been instrumental in creating an environment where everyone can thrive. 🙌 Discover more about our initiatives here: https://lnkd.in/dVd7H9M9 📸 Here’s a snapshot from our recent team day in Helsinki earlier this year💗 #Vieserliving #ESG #CorporateResponsibility #CorporateEthics

Fostering allyship is pivotal in our mission to elevate women in leadership within the tech sector. This Forbes article underscores the ongoing challenges in achieving workplace equality, particularly the alarming projection of 132 years to reach gender parity. The three outlined ways to embody allyship—recognizing and addressing inappropriate behavior, ensuring organization-wide support, and adopting inclusive hiring practices—resonate with WECAN's ethos. Allyship is not a one-time initiative; it's a continual mindset, reflecting our belief in sustained efforts for meaningful change. https://lnkd.in/eKZVpsnY #wecan #wecanlead #careeraccelerather #wecaninnercircle #elevatewomenleaders #womenintechnology #techindustry #womenexecutives #femalementor #inclusiveness #equalrightsforwomen #femaleceos #femaleleadership #inspiringexecutives #mentorshipnetwork

Happy International Women’s Day! 🎉 🥳 Today, we celebrate the inspirational advocates who have paved the way for women around the world to get to where we are today. We’re also reminded how important it is to continue efforts to inspire women themselves - and all who support them - to promote a sense of belonging, value-contribution, and empowerment.
