3rd attempt to post. Though at DEA they are not so proud to highlight their shortcomings that they have no issue hiding from taxpayers. They removed my previous posts which simply expresses DEA's willingness to hide their incompetence and disabled comments on the appropriate post. If this firm put out the truth and numbers of how many things they had to redo on this Highway 20 Safety Upgrade between Corvallis and Albany OR taxpayers would have something to say about this firm’s laughable ranking. How about it DEA, put out an itemized list of everything that had to be done two or three times because it wasn’t done right in the first place and how much taxpayers money was wasted in the process. In my driveway alone they had to do multiple things more than once. No wonder ODOT never comes in on budget with incompetence like this! Taxpayers should not have to foot the bill for this! DEA was contracted for at least the Newberg-Dundee Bypass, the worst one, up 239% from original estimate. https://lnkd.in/epv6uESx

Who run the world? 🎤 ✨👯 Our community education team that is now bigger than ever! Our Community Education (CE) team exists to break cycles of violence and address root causes of gender-based violence in Asian and immigrant communities through community engagement, outreach, education and prevention efforts. For the first day of our team’s retreat, we talked about what brings us to this work and what ultimately brings us back. Community. Belonging. Radical love. Dismantling systems that perpetuate violence. Seeing the impact of the seemingly small things in people’s lives. We’re taking time to dream about the impact our team can have in Asian and immigrant communities in Central TX, imagining the world we can co-create with community, for community. What brings you to this work? What keeps you grounded in it? 

In a quaint American town called Virginia, a diverse group converged to craft a large symbolic necklace, each bead telling a unique story of heritage. Through the shared act of creation, the participants found a newfound understanding of each other's cultures and backgrounds. Stories unfolded as beads of various origins intertwined, creating a rich narrative that transcended individual differences. The shared experience fostered empathy, building bridges of understanding among the participants. After completing necklace, the group discovered a powerful outcome – a community united by a better understanding of diverse backgrounds. Tolerance flourished, transforming the community into a more harmonious and accepting place. The necklace, once a collection of separate stories, now symbolised the collective strength that comes from embracing differences. As the symbolic necklace adorns the town library, it has became a beacon of hope and a reminder that in unity, there is resilience. The community, now knit together by shared experiences, embraced a brighter future where diversity was not only acknowledged but celebrated, demonstrating the profound impact of a simple act of creativity on fostering tolerance and acceptance. #O_O_O_O #positiveoutcomes #communitybuilding #togetherasone
