International Air Transport Association (IATA)’s Post

“Aviation will use all the technologies available to reach its #FlyNetZero 2050 target, but carbon capture will be a key tool for the foreseeable future,” says Michael Schneider, IATA’s Assistant Director, Environmental Programs. "Carbon capture, especially Direct Air Capture (DAC), is probably the best way to deal with emissions. DAC takes CO2 out of the air, which is exactly what we want. If we use it to produce sustainable aviation fuels (#SAF), it becomes an in-sector solution." "And most importantly, it will provide permanent carbon removal."
