2019 Tory Burch Fellow and Bearaby founder Dr. Kathrin Hamm said in a recent Marie Claire interview that "there's a massive 'patent gap' in the U.S.—less than 13% of patents are held by women, and despite the increasing rate of female inventors, this gap isn't expected to reach parity until the 2060s. I want to shed more light on the patent process and encourage more female founders to engage."
