The #1 question I received as a grant program manager was: 🤔 Are we eligible? The enquiring organisation was often technically eligible but unlikely to be offered a grant. ✨️ When you know "you" and your initiative has clearly defined activities, outputs and objectives, you can swiftly assess not only eligibility but also how strongly you're aligned to a funding opportunity. If you have a low application success rate, please get in touch. We can help you improve this and make more strategic decisions about grants. #purposeplus by Tender Plus https://lnkd.in/g7-aUHxB

A well-crafted grant application should: ✅ be clear and concise ✅ provide a summary of your organisation's mission, vision, and capability ✅ highlight the identified need, proposed activities, and anticipated outcomes ✅ align your aims with the funder's ✅ itemise and justify proposed expenditure ✅ explain how you will evaluate progress ✅ identify potential risks and offer mitigation strategies. If you want to be competitive, include all this even if the application form doesn't directly ask for it. ➡️ One of the common mistakes I've seen is proposals that don't provide sufficient details to understand what you want to do or how your interests and goals are aligned. ➡️ With younger organisations, funders particularly want to understand risk and your capability to manage funding. ➡️ Not having enough detail in your budget is another reason why grant applications are often declined. Your passion for your purpose always shines through, but passion alone isn't enough. To secure a grant you need to help the funder understand your aims. 🔥 -- Need a hand? Quality > quantity certainly applies when it comes to achieving grants success! ⠀ Ensure that you only invest your time into grants where: 💛 You’ve confirmed your organisation and project’s eligibility 💛 Your organisation and/or project has a strong alignment with the grant’s funding priorities. ⠀ Ranking and prioritising grant opportunities based on strength of alignment will result in a highly strategic grants program... and when it comes to maximising the potential ROI on grants, there could be nothing better! ⠀ #WhereGrantsFindYou

This is well worth a read if you are seeking grant funding. Some great tips here thank you Gill Pipkin. Writing bids is time consuming and so often pressured with short deadlines. So important to do the groundwork, be prepared, read the funding criteria carefully, write in simple terms and avoid jargon, tell your story of who you help, why and the difference you will make but make sure you are answering the question being asked! Take any opportunity to build a relationship with your funder. #charity #fundraising
