As a company deeply committed to Latin America, we remain dedicated to raising awareness and gathering support for those suffering from the impact of Hurricane Otis in Mexico. While its news coverage is gradually fading, we cannot forget the profound suffering endured by the people of Acapulco, Guerrero. The hurricane's fury demolished critical infrastructure, cut off basic services, and tragically resulted in casualties and missing individuals. The situation is dire, and the people of Acapulco are enduring unimaginable hardships. Due to the severe lack of food, water, and essential supplies, the desperation of the affected communities has escalated. Vandalism has ravaged the commercial stores in Acapulco to the point where there are no longer any shops to purchase much-needed provisions. We ask you to continue donating and sending your thoughts and prayers to those affected by Hurricane Otis in Mexico. Your generosity and compassion can make a significant difference in the lives of those who have lost so much. In light of the increasing frequency of natural disasters, Walmart's recent initiative to deploy disaster response mobile units is commendable. These units, operated by skilled nonprofit professionals, have already significantly impacted Northwest Arkansas, offering essential services like hot meals, clean laundry, hot showers, and charging stations with Wi-Fi. Walmart's proactive approach, driven by a strong sense of corporate responsibility, provides immediate relief and strengthens community resilience, demonstrating the power of businesses in action. This is a prime example of how companies can make a meaningful difference and build stronger connections with the communities they serve. As businesses, if we promote initiatives that help communities thrive, we contribute to those communities' social and economic well-being, build a more substantial, loyal base, and create a positive impact that enhances our corporate reputation. #business #community #companies #RSE #social #responsibility

Director of Marketing @ HubSpot Partner Agency | Helping Complex Industries with Lead Gen and Growth Using Inbound Marketing
**Personal post alert. Because real life affects our work lives.** I’m asking for prayers and consideration for my brother-in-law Ulises, his family, and his community of Acapulco. If you’re unaware (cuz it’s hardly gotten media coverage…) 9 days ago Hurricane Otis, the strongest hurricane to ever hit the Pacific coast, made a direct hit to Acapulco and one of Mexico's poorest states, Guerrero. It’s bad enough for a Category 5 hurricane to hit with 200+ MPH winds and zero notice to evacuate. But when your government is largely corrupt, there’s no insurance, no FEMA, no National Guard, and no relief organizations set up to operate in your country… it’s devastating. My extended family there is still without power, food, and clean water, and will be likely for the foreseeable future. Ulises is on his way there with a suitcase of supplies for his neighborhood (protein bars, hygiene products, vitamins, mosquito repellent, medicine, etc.). He is also hoping to help his community with more food and building supplies by traveling to other cities to purchase supplies. If you will, pray for: • his safety in physical travel and that his supplies don’t get robbed in transit protection of his family and neighbors’ property from looters and squatters • for water and power to be restored • for the government to allow relief organizations in, and for relief organizations to want to help • for the government to protect what little supplies are being distributed from pirating And if you’re so inclined, here is his Go Fund Me page so he can help more people: https://lnkd.in/gzzbqwZw #hurricaneotis #acapulco

Supporting customers for their industrial needs might be what we do, but supporting the PEOPLE in need in our local communities is who we are! Countless families have been impacted by Hurricane Beryl in the Houston area, including some of our own team who sustained damage to their homes. With our headquarters on the Gulf Coast, we know all-too-well the devastation that comes with a direct hit from a Hurricane, and the messy aftermath it leaves in its wake for years to come. But even in tragedies there are always those who rise up to the challenge. Often, the worst times can bring out the best in people. 💪 As Mr. Rogers would say: "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping." Which brings us to the point of this post... ➡Houston, we're asking you to help us help the helpers! If you know of a local organization or non-profit that's doing great things to help in the aftermath of Beryl, please drop their names or tag them in the comments below. In addition to providing them with some well-deserved recognition, we'd like to reach out to some of them and see how EcoTech can help them! (Particularly those smaller organizations that don't come with bottomless budgets.) If you just want to give a shout-out to an individual you know who has been helping, please do that as well! #hurricaneberyl #beryl #houstonstrong #houston #houstontx #texas #prayforhouston #houstonhelp #nonprofits

🌪️ Hurricane Preparedness with The King Makers Consultant Agency LLC: The Importance of a PACE Plan and Donating Blood 🌪️ As we anticipate the hurricane’s approach this Sunday, The King Makers Consultant Agency LLC wants to emphasize the critical importance of having a PACE (Primary, Alternate, Contingency, Emergency) plan and the vital need for blood donations during this time. Why a PACE Plan Matters: 1. Primary Plan: Your main strategy for safety and continuity. Ensure you have all essential supplies, a secure place to stay, and a communication plan with family and colleagues. 2. Alternate Plan: If your primary plan becomes unfeasible, have a backup route or location ready. This might mean knowing alternative shelters or having a secondary means of transportation. 3. Contingency Plan: Prepare for potential disruptions, such as power outages or road closures. Stock up on essentials like water, non-perishable food, batteries, and first aid supplies. 4. Emergency Plan: In critical situations, immediate action is needed. Know your evacuation routes, have a go-bag ready, and stay informed through reliable weather updates. The Call to Donate Blood: During natural disasters, the need for blood donations often increases due to potential injuries and disruptions in regular donation schedules. By donating blood, you can save lives and support your community in times of crisis. Action Steps: 1. Prepare Your PACE Plan: Review and update your primary, alternate, contingency, and emergency plans. Ensure all family members are aware and ready to act. 2. Donate Blood: Find a local blood drive or donation center and contribute if you’re able. Your donation can make a significant difference in emergency medical care during and after the hurricane. At The King Makers Consultant Agency LLC, our mission is to ensure community resilience and preparedness. We believe in proactive planning and community support to weather any storm. Let’s stay prepared, stay safe, and support each other through this challenging time. Together, we can make a difference. #TheKingMakersConsultantAgency #HurricanePreparedness #PACEPlan #EmergencyPlanning #BloodDonation #CommunitySupport #StaySafe

UPDATED – Information on how to support our Caribbean Community – Hurricane Beryl Aid Relief. ⬇️ Please share. Hurricane Beryl has caused widespread damage, destruction, power outages and disruption to water supplies and telecommunications in the South Eastern Caribbean. After hitting Barbados with high winds and storm surge, the hurricane continued its path, causing further damage in Dominica, Saint Lucia, St Vincent, Jamaica and the Grenadines, and more extensively to Grenada. The most severe devastation has been in Grenada’ sister islands of, Carriacou and Petite Martinique, and the Grenadine islands of Union and Bequia. The impact on Jamaica has been less severe than feared, however some parishes, Manchester and St Elizabeth have suffered serious damage. The scenes of the devastation across the islands are heartbreaking with many people left homeless, many businesses destroyed, and loss of life. Kindly consider supporting the relief effort. HOW TO SUPPORT: We will be making donations to each of the following and we hope you will join us in supporting and disseminating the various initiatives to raise funds and collect resources for those affected by Hurricane Beryl. These communities urgently require tarpaulins, roofing materials, and basic supplies to address immediate needs and ensure safety. Water supplies are also required. Team Rubicon Myth #4: It is best to donate after disaster strikes, when needs are known. Over 14 years of TR's existence, we've built a team of volunteers with skills and training critical to alleviating suffering after disaster strikes. As an example, when a hurricane strikes, we'll have to perform sawyer work, heavy equipment will be needed to move debris, and core operation training will remove soaked materials before mold sets in. The reality is ANY delay in funding extends the recovery and the challenges for those impacted. Like I used to say in my days as a Topgun instructor, "Speed is Life". This holds true for tornadoes, fires, floods, and hurricanes. Today Hurricane Beryl is projected to be a major hurricane - it's in the news - and it will likely have impact. Consider donating today to fuel Beryl and every mission that our 180 thousand volunteers tackle - I know Team Rubicon will be responding as we have all year. Beryl could be our 50th operation year-to-date. To donate, please visit teamrubiconusa.org/give #BuiltToServe #GSD #MakeHurricanePreparationsNow
