Some exciting news fr LWV!

Impressions of J.D. Vance are far worse than the impressions of the women he attacks. His unfavorables have increased sharply since June (+15). We asked voters their impression of women who are childless by choice. Approximately half of voters have a “neutral” impression of women who are childless by choice, while 44% have a favorable impression. Our research found that more men (18%) than women (15%) plan to remain child-free, but of course, they are not the target of J.D. Vance’s ire. Read More: https://lnkd.in/edBe4Bdb

We applaud Dr. Patricia Campos-Medina for her voice and the stand she is taking to self-empower, ensuring access and inclusion for herself as a candidate running for office. It is simply unacceptable to be a woman who must face men who are both physically and organizationally blocking her from access to democracy. More importantly, blocking experienced women and multicultural women from their potential to run government, which directly impacts the lives of people, communities, education, health care, small businesses, corporations, etc., means that certain important issues involving women ultimately don't get addressed with urgency or importance. 💡As Latinas, our voices matter! As research reflects, we have so much to lose when we put ourselves out there, against the wall of systemic racial challenges. Yet, we are resilient because we have the ever-present deep determination to achieve equity and justice.
