AM Green Acquires Chempolis and Fortum 3 B.V. to Boost Sustainable Aviation Fuel Production How will large-scale biorefineries transform the sustainable aviation fuel industry? AM Green Group Technology and Solutions has announced the acquisition of Finnish Chempolis Ltd. Oy and Fortum 3 B.V., planning to invest $1 billion in biorefineries to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). By 2027, AM Green aims to produce over 0.5 million tons of SAF annually through the alcohol-to-jet (ATJ) process using Chempolis' technology. This acquisition aligns with AM Green’s mission to leverage 2G ligno-cellulosic feedstocks and transform waste materials into high-value green products, including ethanol and lignin.
