We believe that every child can and should be able to learn through play. And the best thing about play is that it doesn’t have to cost a thing. Read more about why play is for everyone here: https://lnkd.in/dzVVNKpd

My daughter just created an erupting volcano with some dinosaurs out of play doh, glitter, glue, pens and paper and lolly sticks and ten tonnes of imagination and perseverance 👏🏼

I am passionate about empowering children to learn through play. That's why I developed CogniBlocks. Our programme develops children's cognitive thinking by using building blocks to improve their numeracy, social, literacy, perceptual and fine motor skills all while having fun! Visit our website to find out more www.cogniblocks.co.za But I also practise this with my own children. Recently on a plane overseas I kept them busy by using our building blocks and while they were having fun they were also learning. This is the best way to empower our children!!

My daughter has quite the interest in all things tiny these days. A cereal box transformed into small furniture and a house for her stuffies last week. My habit to recycle the cardboard has been interrupted on several occasions lately 🙃

My kids and my grandkids love Legos. Given the over use and production of plastics, I no longer buy legos new but check our local social media to see where we can get used legos free from families who have outgrown them. Much as I love legos we need to stop encouraging the oil industry. Recycle them.

Totally agree!! But also love when a toy can be used for many years in different ways, like legos. My 5 year old son has been building a Lego collection and I’m so impressed by how much his creativity and imagination shines through. He loves building them and then putting his own spin on it. Today we have a mix of Lego city, marvel and an animal crossing Lego 🫶

Love this - chimes with my experience with my two girls, and an important reminder in my work… to keep encouraging behaviour in a way that is simple, easy and low cost!

Yes children have all the imagination

Completely agree, my two girls love crafting, drawing, and building their own Lego ideas from nothing. It's great to see where their wild imagination takes them and am so glad to be a part of their journey

Love it. Having a neurodivergent daughter and being kind of a big kid myself this sounds absolutely amazing. Must be the best job ever. 🤩
