Strategy & Transformation - Inclusive Design & A11y - HDI Top 25 Thought Leader 2022 - ForHumanity Fellow & FHCA in Disability Inclusion & Accessibility - Certified AI Governance Professional (#AIGP)
As a Gay man working in digital equity, I found this new report, "Logged Out, Left Out" from LGBT Tech very insightful. In 2023 and continuing into 2024, we have seen a wave of social media/online platform regulations geared toward digital safety intersect with anti-LGBTQ+ efforts. This report highlights these dangerous intersections and sheds light on the risks posed by certain platform legislations while encouraging thoughtful regulation that prioritizes digital equity. #digitalEquity #deia #lgbtqRights #lgbtq #socialMedia #digitalGovernance #diversityEquityInclusion

In June’s Policy Blog, CPFB Policy Research takes a look at the available research and data around experiences of food insecurity and insufficiency in the LGBTQ+ community. Like other historically marginalized communities, individuals marginalized by gender and sexuality are disproportionately more likely to be unsure where their next meal will come from. Understanding and addressing these disparities are a key part of the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank’s work, as we know that if we are to end hunger for everyone, we must work to end hunger in the communities that are most likely to face it. https://lnkd.in/e5hsnVs2

The IncludeAge project focuses on how we can improve the inclusion of middle to older aged people (40+) with Learning Disabilities and/or people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender + (LGBT+) (with the plus representing others who don’t identify as heterosexual or cisgender), by learning about their experiences of being included in physical places and online spaces. The goal is to build on what people tell us and to use this information to develop possible solutions to make communities more inclusive. https://buff.ly/43Gal9U
