In last weekend’s The Straits Times "In The Money" column, Derrick Tan, Executive Chairman of WRISE Group, discussed the company's focus on wealth management, addressing the needs of ultra-high-net-worth individuals and digitally savvy clients. WRISE aims to provide comprehensive solutions, emphasising transparency and control over portfolios. WRISE offers a range of investment funds tailored to different client preferences, including private funds with longer horizons and lower liquidity requirements.   Derrick also outlined his personal investment philosophy, which focuses on long-term wealth creation and diversification across various asset classes, and also shared his perspectives on the trajectory of interest rates and the anticipated actions of the US Federal Reserve.   Lastly, Derrick shone a spotlight on WRISE's upcoming plans. WRISE has recently introduced WRISE Prestige and WRISE Financial Services, targeting the growing mass affluent market in Asia, which is projected to expand significantly by 2030. WRISE Prestige offers a diverse range of investment options, including global securities and venture capital, traditionally reserved for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, aiming to democratise access to alternative investments. WRISE Financial Services caters to the mass market with offerings such as life insurance and securities. Additionally, the company plans to hire 300 wealth advisors in 2024 to support its new business units and meet client demand.
