As I aim to become a costume designer for theatrical productions, I’m diving deep into the fascinating intersection of fashion and economics this semester. One concept that has stood out to me is elasticity—specifically, how the uniqueness of a design influences its demand. In costume design (and fashion as a whole), there’s a delicate balance between following trends and infusing your creative vision. The more unique and innovative a piece is, the more demand can become inelastic. If my designs stand out, customers (or, in my case, the director) may be less sensitive to pricing. #Mereditheconomics

Using various AI tools to creating amazing music videos is now becoming easier.
Deep dive into Runway Gen 3 using Midjourney 6.1 imagery to create a spec Versace sunglass spot. I'm really impressed how Runway is handling body movements, you can actually see body parts move the way a real person would move. Midjourney made spectacular sunglass visuals to enhance the fashion visuals. I also tested getting the models to make a heart with the their hands at the end and it did pretty well. Truly incredible and getting better by the day. Edited in Adobe Premiere Pro Music by Brandon "Shades On" Music used only for spec purposes. #Runwayml #GenAI #Versace #spec #aifilm #filmmaker #fashion

Most people know that Disney Parks have strict dress codes, which forbid visitors from wearing Disney costumes. They don't want costumed guests to get confused for character actors, which might ruin someone's Disney Parks experience. However, both official and unofficial Disney dress-up days allow park guests to wear costumes or themed Disneybound outfits. It's easy to find official dress-up days because they're on the events calendar, but what about the unofficial theme days at Disney Parks? We'll share a list of unofficial dress-up days at Disney so you can participate in the fun, too! https://lnkd.in/ghnfQWVJ #disneybound #dressup #dressupdays

[Teamwork triumphs!] This one of the most exhilarating moments was undoubtedly the process of selecting our costumes. It was a harmonious blend of creativity and collaboration as we brainstormed ideas, scoured through options, and finally settled on the perfect ensemble that not only complemented our performance but also reflected our unity as a team. The laughter, the debates, and the shared anticipation during those costume fittings were a testament to the strong bond we had forged. It was more than just about finding the right attire; it was about embracing our individuality while harmonizing our looks to create a cohesive visual representation of our collective spirit. In hindsight, the costume selection process was a microcosm of our journey towards victory a journey marked by camaraderie, compromise, and creativity. It underscored the essence of teamwork, reminding us that success is not just about individual talent but about leveraging each other's strengths and working towards a common goal. As we stood united on stage, adorned in our meticulously chosen costumes, we not only showcased our musical prowess but also embodied the essence of teamwork and collaboration. It was a moment of pride and triumph, made even sweeter by the knowledge that every stitch, every sequin was a testament to our unwavering unity and shared commitment to excellence. Here's to the thrill of costume selection and the power of teamwork in achieving extraordinary feats! #HarmonyInCostumes #TeamworkThrills #ChoirChampions

From Couture to Cinema: Why Is Saint Laurent Leaping into Film? Saint Laurent Productions' recent venture into film production is a stellar example of business agility and innovation. If you have not heard, the French fashion house stepped into the cinematic world just last year, co-producing three films for the 77th Cannes Film Festival. The move is exciting and a strategic masterstroke highlighting businesses' need to diversify and rethink their revenue streams. The global economy demands agility and foresight. Saint Laurent's leap into film, collaborating with producers like Saïd Ben Saïd, showcases a brilliant use of their brand strength to explore new territories. Besides adding revenue, it will enrich the brand's narrative and connect with audiences in new ways. Watching Saint Laurent navigate this transition inspires optimism for the future of cross-sector innovation. By stepping into cinema, they're not just making movies—they're weaving resilience and growth into their brand story in an era full of challenges and possibilities. I love this story and can't wait to watch the movies! https://lnkd.in/e6uu2gXJ

A brand is like your favourite superhero. It's not just about the cool costume (that's the logo) or the name they have, it's about what they stand for. Just like your superhero always saves the day, a brand is a promise to always make people happy or give them something they can trust. Every time people see that name or symbol, they know what to expect, kind of like how you know Batman will always stop the bad guys! #Brand #brandbuilding #digitalbranding

Scarlett Johansson carry her lovely Prada bag, Natalie Portman think her Christian Dior bag is beautiful and Penelope Cruz love her Chanel bag. This is like the new trend ad agency love to do recently, get in the top rate Hollywood actress personality into the bag as if give the bag a soul. Designers bag is not a commodity product, they are not competing each other with commercial yardstick such as the value of money, nor they are not competing from design or other aesthetic factor which is very subjective. But instead they competing to earn a such precious image which would be associated with their bag. Because that's what the customer get by buying their bag. And because of that, they need Penelope, Natalie and Scarlett. https://lnkd.in/gGWnE5iS
